Starting piano lessons is easy!

Students learn to play a couple pieces in their very first lesson.

Music is enjoyable from the start as new concepts are introduced in creative ways and reinforced through easy songs and games.

Lessons are adapted to meet each student’s goals and personality. A variety of music and methods are used to keep lessons enjoyable.

Anna has taught all ages for over 15 years and had a music school with 50+ students in the states before moving to Switzerland recently. She has a M.M. in Piano Pedagogy and a B.S. in Music Education.

Composing music is very similar to writing novels. Of course there are "novels" and Novels...and the secret to create expressive, compelling, and successful ones is the ability to write with emotions, tension, and conflict.
With music is exactly the same, and in order to to so, musicians needs to have "at arm's distance" all the tools and knowledge that will allow them "to sculpture the air in the performance into something" (F. Zappa)
As a musician, have you ever wondered:
what if I replace this A min. chord with an E min. 7 ?
is it better to stay "Tonal" or go "Modal" on this measure?
what if I establish a stronger emotional response by changing this scale fragment into a Phrygian?
shall I drive more of a rhythmic feeling by leveraging quartal harmony?
what chords could I actually ask the guys from my band to add to this measures so that my solo would sound more interesting?
how can I phrase this better to that my songwriting drives a more melodic and fluid verse?

My name is Nuriya, graduated from Zurich University of the Arts. I would like to introduce the incredible world of sound and music making. I believe thoughout music we can learn a lot: not only develop the musical ear and gain the necessary knowledge but also dive deeper into our inner self and emotions and possible ways to transmit it.
During our lessons we will learn and work on several breathing techniques, rhythm, learn how to read the scores, work on posture, play together and many more..
I am a professional flute player but also studied piano in Russia for several years and that is why I will be happy to accompany you while you play the flute or teach you how to play the piano.

Graduated with highest marks cum laude for the Bachelor degree in flute at the Conservatory of Florence (Italy) and with the same points at the Conservatory of Milano for the piccolo Master, I am now attending a Master degree in flute performance at the Zurich University of the Arts. Music and especially flute and piccolo are my real passion. My lessons will be always different, based on the student. I offer private lessons of classical piano, at home, at home, or even online, the one that suits you best :) I am Ariel, a Brazilian pianist living in France for the past 6 years, and in this time i have acquired significant experience as a music teacher, in music schools and with private lessons, also with children, young people and adults - and because of the confinement, I also have experience with lessons online. These courses can also be in French, English or Portuguese !

My method is mainly focused on the autonomy of the student and the joy of making beautiful music. These two principles will guide us in our work, and any technique learned will have the goal of making music more beautiful, of allowing you to actually make the music you want to listen to. Of course, I will adapt to your personal needs and goals, depending on your situation:
- IF YOU (OR YOUR CHILD) ARE ANY BEGINNER, we will start with the basics of position, finger action, just like solfege. It will be a work parallel to the piano and the notebook, to develop intimacy with the instrument and knowledge of musical language.
- IF YOU ARE ALREADY INTRODUCED TO THE INSTRUMENT, you have played the piano before and want to take up again or you are taking lessons in a music school and do not want to drop your studies during the summer holidays, then we can work on all that concerns the improvement of your game: I will talk about sound, technique, the development of a personal interpretation and your musical culture, deciphering and sight reading, finally, any subject in the music that interests you, that 'be more practical or more theoretical.

Whether you are an adult or younger, did you know that with the proper methods, follow-up and advice, you can reach in 2 years the equivalent of what is achieved in 10 years in music school? The passion and pleasure of playing will quickly make you forget the minimum 1h30 of daily practice necessary for this beautiful and pleasant feat. This is the challenge I set myself by offering you these courses.

Practicing classical guitar for 27 years, graduated from the National Conservatory of Limoges, I teach guitar (beginner to advanced levels).

My method is distinguished by a perfect combination of high standards and attention paid to the pleasure of playing.

Passionate about music theory (rhythms, musical notations and other aspects that seem tedious to many), I know how to transmit this taste for musical technique.

The pleasure of play develops when you feel your progress, and these come with regular work. I therefore ask for attendance and regularity of at least 1 hour of practice per day. Depending on the students, the frequency of lessons can be bi-weekly or bi-monthly, and will be defined together, while remaining flexible.

I can also advise you on the purchase of a classical guitar.

Note: the practice of the classical guitar requires short nails on the left hand, and nails overflowing just beyond the tip of the finger, on the right hand, at all times. This allows an inimitable sound quality.

Hello, my name is Izabel and I play the viola professionally and work in Zurich Opernhaus as well as other orchestras.
I also have more than 10 years of experience teaching the violin, the viola and music theory.
I can speak fluent English, Bulgarian and French. I can also understand German, but cannot fluently communicate.
