All the materials given are contextualized so that the learning of the saxophone is not a mechanical practice, but, above all, artistic. Présentation

José, saxophonist and composer, was born in Luxembourg in 1991. He moved to Portugal and began his musical studies at the local band in Figueira da Foz. Later he entered the Conservatório de Música David de Sousa to the saxophone class of the professor José Firme. He then moved to Espinho to study in Escola Profissional de Música de Espinho, an undergraduate professional school, where he studied with Fernando Ramos, Gilberto Bernardes and Francisco Ferreira. In 2010 José entered ESMAE (Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espectáculo), the University of Music and Performing Arts, Oporto, where he holds the degree of bachelor in Jazz Saxophone Performance. There he studied in the Jazz Department with Mário Santos, Nuno Ferreira, Carlos Azevedo, Abe Rábade, among others.
In 2017 he began his Master Studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam being tutored by Ben van Gelder, Joris Roelofs and Jasper Blom which he finished in 2019 with a 9.5/10.

He is an active musician playing and touring around Europe with many international bands; he’s a guest soloist in several large formations like OJM (Orquestra de Jazz de Matosinhos) and BSP (Banda Sinfónica Portuguesa).  As a composer, his main focus is to convey his experience to specific set of musicians like his Quartet (with Youngwoo Lee on piano, Jort Terwijn on Bass and Sun Mi Hong on drums), he’s trio (Gonçalo Neto on guitar and Alessandro Fongaro on bass) or he’s co-led trio with the Mexican singer-songwriter Fuensanta Mendéz and the astonishing trumpet player Alistair Payne. He also writes for his duo with Harmen Fraanje, a very intimate and boundary.less duo.

Besides his own projects, Soares has been a requested musician for several bands with whom he has been recording his work: Ensemble Super Moderne (winner of the Best Jazz Album 2015, JazzLogical), AXES (winner of the Best Jazz Album 2017), Liquid Identities (Keep and Eye Competition 2019), Eduardo Cardinho Quintet (winner of “Prémio Jovens Músicos” 2014), Jeffery Davis Quintet, João Grilo e a Longifolia, Mané Fernandes “The Mantra of The Phat Lotus”, Pedro Melo Alves' Omniae Ensemble, AXES, Guy Tristan Salamon (Keep an Eye Records winner 2018), Giuseppe Campisi, among many others.

Dear violin lovers! I'm a violin teacher for 10 years now, I have been teaching in Portugal and the Netherlands. My lessons can be given in English, Portuguese, French or Spanish.

Playing the violin is my passion, especially when I can pass on my knowledge and love for music to my students of all ages and levels.

I work as a team with you, finding the right method that fit your needs. What is important for me is to work on a good connection with the instrument and find the right basis for the start of your violin playing.
In my violin lessons, I would like also to share with you my musical knowledge, show you recordings of great violin players, prepare with you pieces that you always wanted to play and give you the tools so you can achieve your goals in music. I like to share the general knowledge of violin playing as well as basic and intermediate music theory lessons so you can enter in the world of music, but especially to have fun!!

My lessons can be shared between violin and theory together depending on what you are looking for.

The lessons will be at my house if you are in need of an instrument we can find one for you!

I did my Bachelor at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with the teachers Maria Milstein and Eliot Lawson and completed my Masters in Performance degree with excellency as well in Amsterdam under the guidance of Liviu Prunaru and Mathieu van Bellen while studying baroque violin with Shunske Sato.

I have my own violin class in Amsterdam, and I love teaching.

I'm an oboe player who recently graduated from the Masters at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam where I as well have done my bachelor degree. I'm from Mexico and I've been living in the Netherlands for over 7 years. I love working with kids but as well with adults and any person who's motivated and willing to learn this beautiful instrument at any level. I can teach you how to read notes, rythms, harmonies, etc. I speak Spanish, Engllish, French, Italian and some Dutch. Depending on your goals we can make a fun programme and play any kind of music you are interested on!

My name is Lucas and I am 22 years old. I currently have a grade 8 in violin with the ABRSM curriculum, and have been playing the violin for over 15 years. While learning the violin, I have always been taught in a private manner, with a teacher just to myself so I would know exactly what kind of atmosphere you would need to learn quickly.
The lessons I would provide are for any level of students, from a person that is just beginning or is maybe just interested in playing the violin to a bit more experienced players that are looking to improve their skills.

My name is Matteo, I'm a professional bassist from Brussels, currently based in Amsterdam.
I perform and have performed with renowned musicians and bands from many different scenes and styles, bringing me to venues all over the world (USA, UK, Germany, Denmark, France, Romania, Portugal, Spain...).
I have a deep passion for music ever since I started playing 16 years ago, and would like to share it with you!
Bass is the best! And I want to help you uncover it's full potential.
I believe the best way to learn music is to study what you love, and always work from a place of curiosity and passion.
Therefore, we will always look together for ways of making the process the most enjoyable and tackle different topics through the music YOU love. The classes are tailored to each individual student: we find the best workflow for you, and adapt the lessons. If you need structure and a clear program, I can provide that; but if you prefer to keep it loose and see as we go, it's all good. All that matters is your continued motivation and progress.

Well... I'm not offering you the rock 'n' roll lifestyle, sprinkled with angel dust and full of groupies languidly waiting for you backstage, but I can at least offer you an organized guitar lesson based on a comprehensive approach to the instrument, targeted to your musical aspirations... In other words: what YOU like! I sincerely believe that the most effective way to learn music is to delve into what you love and explore it with passion and dedication. We will always start from the songs you like, step by step, following your workflow. My goal is simply to give you the best tips and tricks so that you can enjoy playing the songs you love or, if you wish, organize your guitar practice in the most efficient way.

I'm a student at the Amsterdam Conservatory, and I offer clarinet and music theory lessons in French or English!

I specialize in orchestral and chamber music. I'm also teaching since 5 years and I enjoy sharing my passion for music, whether it's on stage or in a more intimate setting during a private lesson.
I adapte my lessons to suit for each student, the most important is to combine pleasure and improving the playing.
We cover topics like breathing, music theory, interpretation, posture... all the aspects to become a good clarinetist!

My name is Marine, I'm 28 years old and I've been playing the piano since I was 12. A graduate of the Chantilly Departmental Conservatory in France (training obtained alongside my baccalaureate), I also studied jazz for two years in a specialized school, then in jazz piano classes at the conservatory. My violin classes are open to people of all ages and levels. You may have used to play the violin many years ago and are trying to get back at it but don't know how, you may have just started and you're looking for a teacher that can guide your first steps, you may be looking for regular coaching for an already developed sense of musicality — my classes accommodate all of the above and more.
Most of my pupils are already intermediate students who are dedicated to becoming the young violinists of the future, but that doesn't mean my class isn't for you if you are simply looking for a hobby! Music is about having fun together!
