I am Dion. I followed bilingual VWO in the direction of nature and health. I was always put under pressure at school, which is partly why, ironically enough, I failed chemistry at first. I then realized that it was really my own responsibility to pass my school, then I went for it and discovered that chemistry is fun and eventually finished it with an 8. In recent years I have taught students who were sometimes years below the required level. Together we made up for their backlog, which sometimes amounted to years, and they all successfully completed their VWO final exams. I learned from this how important it is to match the pace and level of the student and to help them from there. How important it is to be a beacon of rest and relaxation yourself so that students can do it at their own pace and in their own way. I think it's important to make every lesson something fun and relaxing.
