Learning to play the cello can be a tremendously rewarding hobby, but the cost of lessons often puts it out of reach for many. As an accomplished 15-year-old0 cellist, I’m planning to change that narrative by offering high-quality instruction at a relatively affordable price. My systematic approach guides students through the fundamentals, from proper bow hold to tuning techniques. I will teach with proven methods like the StringBuilder and Suzuki books, ensuring a solid technical foundation while preserving the inherent fun of the instrument. With over 7 years of cello experience and a ABRSM Grade 8 Distinction, I possess a deep understanding of the instrument and the ABRSM examination process(and have lots of tips for effective practicing!). I would like to teach students up to Grade 6 ABRSM and work as a coach to help students prepare for their upcoming ABRSM exams(if they desperately need any help). In fact, I am having the honor of performing at the prestigious Carnegie Recital Hall in New York City this summer. Recognizing the unique learning needs of young students, I'm particularly excited to work with children ages 7-12. My own youthful energy from my young age will create a welcoming environment where students can explore the cello without pressure or intimidation.
