Foundations of Engineering and Calculus: From Math to Mechanics

This class is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in both mathematics and core engineering subjects. We will cover Pre-Calculus, Calculus I & II, and Differential Calculus, alongside essential engineering topics such as Statics of Rigid Bodies, Physics, and Thermodynamics. Students will also be introduced to Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and fundamental programming skills relevant to engineering. Classes will be interactive and engaging. I will share my screen to present concepts clearly, use a tablet to solve problems live, and provide custom modules and reading materials. Participation is highly encouraged, and I create a welcoming environment where students feel confident to ask questions and share their thoughts. Progress will be assessed through seatworks, quizzes, and tests, all designed to support learning in a fun, collaborative way.

I led the university’s rocketry team in national and international competitions, designed CubeSat systems for my undergraduate thesis, and gained hands-on experience in propulsion development, simulation tools like SolidWorks and ANSYS, and programming. As a graduate of the Bachelor's program in Mathematics and Computer Science and the Master's program in Mathematics, I've noticed that many students struggle with many subjects. These are often also the most crucial for their progress, as many future courses build on them. If you're a Bachelor's student facing the same challenge, you've come to the right place. Sketchup (pro) is een gebruiksvriendelijk programma waarmee je op een snelle manier een 3 dimensionele voorstelling kan maken. Hoewel je dit jezelf kan aanleren via tutorials op internet , zijn er een aantal basisregels die je je best van in het begin kan aanleren. Dit bespaart je veel ergernis en frustratie.
Hierbij zou ik je graag helpen.

Ik geef les aan zowel beginners als gevorderden, een les wordt steeds op maat opgesteld volgens jouw behoeften.

Wist je dat je met sketchup ook meteen je plan in 2D kan bekomen, zonder extra overtekenen of gebruik van andere (teken)programma's?

Is het uur waarop jij kan toch niet aangegeven als beschikbaar, neem dan toch even contact op om te kijken wat we kunnen doen.

Math, calculus and physics can sometimes be overwhelming, especially when the theory or solving method is unclear. I am a cum laude Aerospace Engineering graduate from TU Delft and have helped other pupils with their problems since 2017. With my calm and stepwise explanation, a second view of the solution procedure is given, which is often what is missing. About Me:
I am Shrika, a former IB student who has recently passed IB in 2024. Of the 6 subjects I have taken, I am most profound in mathematics followed by geography at higher level. Currently I am a university student at the Technical University of Eindhoven pursuing Data Science at a bachelor's level.

What I offer:
Considering the challenging math I have encountered during my IB years along with my current university course, I am quite comfortable with mathematics and am looking to provide mathematics lessons for individuals who are especially in the IB curriculum. I can provide classes for Math AISL , AASL and AAHL students. Of course, due to the nature of the course, I am proficient to teach students who are younger such as in primary or secondary school as IB is a course for high school students.

What the course offers:
As I have hinted out in the previous section, the course is tailored to the student itself. IB students don't need to worry as I have materials and classes already prepared. If you are struggling with a specific subject, we can look together at what you are good at and what we can best focus on during the sessions. A few subjects that I have coached students in in the past are: mathematics, business economics, economics, arithmetic, accounting/accountancy, cost accounting, managerial accounting, financial accounting, corporate finance, risk management and investments. I give tips on which information is most important, how you can best prepare for the subject, and how you can best read test questions. This method has proven to be very effective!

During my sessions I coach almost everyone! From pupils at the vmbo to (almost) graduates at the university, in all financial-economic subjects. Because of this I have developed a coaching structure that is effective, efficient, and fun.

During exam training I work with old exams with a focus on the latest developments in the field. In this way I ensure that students get a good grip on the exam material and enter the exams with confidence. During the training I teach the students how an exam is structured so that they feel familiar with the final exam.

Tutoring or homework support are designed in consultation. Some pupils or students benefit from doing assignments together, while others need more explanation of the theory.
