I'm a harpsichordist based in The Netherlands and I'm offering harpsichord and basso continuo lessons online or presential in The Hague.
Lessons are open for any level and also to pianists or organists who want to get acquainted with the harpsichord, and will be focused on performance style, technique and repertoire.
Online lessons are be offered on different video conference platforms, such a Zoom, Skype and Facebook Messenger.
I have a Bachelor and Master degree from the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague and work, next to my activities as a teacher, as a freelance harpsichordist and conductor performing in Europe and elsewhere.

Hello everyone!
My name is João, piano and harpsichord player.
I started playing the piano at the age of 7 years old and, since then, I completely fell in love with all the keyboard instruments and its possibilities of expressivity, the clear sense of making music, interacting with other musicians, for my own pleasure, and for the others. The harpsichord came in my life when I was 15 years old. I absolutely love Classical and Baroque Music and as well as Jazz and Pop.

I started teaching piano at the age of 20 and I must confess that it became a great passion in my life!
I love to see my students improving, getting acquainted with different music styles and motivated.
I'm skilled in teaching kids and adults, beginners or experienced with the keyboard and/or music theory.

Therefore, I use different methods, according to the student's needs and expectations. Each student is special so a lesson can differ, depending on the student's level. Normally, I start with warming up and technical exercises (posture is very important!), a brief music theory contextualisation of what is going to be approached in the lesson and, most importantly, have fun and provide a nice atmosphere during the lesson.

I've graduated in piano and harpsichord at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 2007. In 2012 I've graduated in harpsichord at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, obtaining my Master degree at the same institution in 2014. Currently, I'm doing my Ph.D. studies in Performing Arts at Leiden University/Orpheus Instituut Gent. I teach theoretical music studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and, eventually, accompany and coach students from the Young Talent Music Department. In 2014 I've founded the Baroque Music Orchestra Le Concert d'Apollon, taking the lead of harpsichord player and music director.

If you are willing to learn how to play the piano or continue your studies, it will be a pleasure for me to show you how learning a keyboard instrument has so much to add in your life. I can give lessons at my studio in The Hague or travel to your destination. I look forward to meeting you and guide you through the wonderful world of music!

Hello!
I’m Alessandro, I graduated in Pescara and Bologna conservatories in piano and chamber music and now I’m attending the master in harpsichord at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague.

I’m offering piano, harpsichord, basso continuo and music theory lessons for beginners and advanced in English, French and Italian.
In recent years I have had several teaching experiences, in Bologna and Paris I taught children from 5 years old to 60 years old adults both individual and group lessons.

I’m very enthusiastic and patient, I attempt to shape my lesson according to the students' level, trying to find the most effective way to improve their skills and let them enjoy the fascinating world that is music.
