I propose to work first on the academic learning of the rules of proportion, of construction in order to give a framework to the pupil on which he will be able to rely in a sure way to build his own artistic language.

These sessions allow the development of skills and knowledge of the trade, with the game facing the camera, familiarization with the audiovisual environment and the camera tool, in the art of acting.

Your inventiveness and your uniqueness being at the center of your training, it is a question of dwelling on the objective criteria, such as the voice, the use of the body, the relationship with the partner, the capacity to occupy the space. But it is also the singularity and the commitment that are decisive.

The objective of this training is to be able to:

- Analyze and dissect a text
- Create, develop and embody a character
- Understand the artistic and technical writings of a film or a play
- Create, cultivate and develop one's artistic identity and singularity

(...)

Through simulations and role-playing, the association between theory and practice makes it possible to achieve its objectives.

PLACES :
- Locations: Geneva - Lausanne - Friborg - Neuchâtel - Montreux - Basel - Sion - Sierre - Morges - Bienne. But currently and until further notice, only by videoconference in accordance with national recommendations on Covid.

These sessions, for which you have asked me, also seem to be perfectly unanimous since they arouse a certain enthusiasm (and a certain enthusiasm). Indeed, they have the advantage of face-to-face sessions (ex: quality of the interaction), without its disadvantages (ex: loss of travel time) with additional advantages (ex: the entire session transcribed in writing on the chat). That is why, at your request, I continue to offer this option.
- As other people do regularly, you can also please your loved ones by offering gift vouchers available all year round.

Note: ALL SUPPLIES & TOOLS ARE PROVIDED FOR THE STUDENTS FOR THE FIRST TEN (10) LESSONS — All canvas, stretcher-bars, panels, paper, brushes, pens, pencils, ink, charcoal, paints, varnish, etc. The finished artworks are, of course, your to keep.

There are many ways to create a so-called "realistic" oil painting. And there are many visual tools that an artist can use to make a beautiful visual statement. Whether using thick impastos, thin washes of solvent-based color, bodied glazes, or mixed media elements, each technique can yield an engaging visual experience. Painting is, after all, a means of communication.

In this course, we will begin with the basic ideas and techniques for drawing and painting forms as the eye sees them. You will learn every stage for producing aesthetically pleasing and technically strong oil paintings. We will discuss concepts and ideas for painting, developing different studies, stretching the canvas, line drawing, tonal lay-in, dead-coloring (or color block-in), and modeling the forms (1st painting, 2nd painting, and finishing). We will also cover the techniques of alla prima or premier coup (direct painting in one pass). We will also study the formal methods of composition, different kinds of perspectives, paint surface and paint quality (facture), and proportions. And, of course, we will discuss the use of varnishes, including the final picture varnish.

Stay calm and confident if some of these terms are new to you. We will adapt the lessons for each artist. I will help you to learn, understand, and perform each step of the painting process.

Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced painter: there is something for you!

Learning Sculpture: From Classicism to Abstraction.

Sculpture classes for amateurs or beginners. Starting with bas-relief and progressing to sculpture in the round. I offer classical or abstract training in contemporary art, allowing you to explore your imagination and/or create figurative figures.

The course is obviously based on your interests. If you're interested in learning practical sculpting techniques, such as figurative art, we'll focus on that. If you're more drawn to a more abstract form of expression, I'll guide you through your more fantastical ideas.
Once your pieces are made, we will think together about the best finishes, whether it be molding and casting in plaster, or ceramic firing of the work.
Your productions in progress will be protected and handled with care, and any production that passes the final molding or baking stage will belong to you; I will ask you to take them back when they are finished.

The figurative and abstract art courses offer different paths, which can obviously be combined to achieve an interesting middle ground. The figurative course provides busts and plaster casts from which to create models, allowing you to better understand the forms of the face, body, and volumes that make up the human being. Anatomical references will also be available as needed; for example, when working on the torso in modeling, I will present you with advanced anatomical references that you can keep.

The course on abstraction operates on another axis, freer, where it will be your ideas above all which will build your path, with technical help from me, advice and helping hands when you need it.
You can combine these two courses and I will gladly accompany you on this more mixed path.

Since sculpture is a medium that takes up space, your works should not exceed certain dimensions, which will be determined based on your desires and ambitions.

Materials are provided: clay, plaster, modeling tools, and other tools. The quantities of clay and plaster will vary depending on your artwork and the chosen method; this variation may affect the price. For example, a piece requiring 5-10 kilos of clay will be less expensive than one requiring twice that amount. Silicone molding may also incur higher costs.

Learning Sculpture: From Classicism to Abstract Art.

Sculpture classes for amateurs or beginners, starting with low relief and progressing to free-standing sculpture. I teach classical or abstract contemporary art, allowing you to explore your more abstract ideas, or the creation of figures and portraits.

The course is, of course, tailored to your interests. If you're focused on learning specific sculpting techniques in combination with figurative work—we'll concentrate on that. If you're more interested in a more abstract form of expression, I'll accompany you on your creative path.
Once your pieces are completed, we will discuss the best finishing options together, whether that involves casting in plaster or firing the work in a kiln.

Your works-in-progress will be protected and handled with care, and any piece that reaches the final stage of casting or firing will belong to you; I will ask you to collect them once they are finished.

The figurative course and the abstract course offer different paths, which can of course be combined to achieve an interesting middle ground. The figurative course provides busts and plaster casts, allowing you to better understand the shapes of the face, the body, and the volumes that make up the human form. Anatomy references will also be available to you as needed; for example, when working on the torso through modeling, I will provide you with good anatomical references that you can keep.

The course on abstraction takes a different, freer approach, where your technical ideas will be the primary focus in shaping your creative journey, with guidance from me, as well as advice and support whenever you need it.

You can, of course, combine these two courses, and I will be happy to guide you on this more mixed path.
