Music Theory (IB Diploma Music, GCSE Music, ABRSM exams)

Using jazz music as my specialism, I am able to teach even the most technically challenging concepts in their most basic forms and transfer them to the guitar in their most simple terms. I have taught the guitar, music theory and GCSE and A-Level Music syllabuses for six years to students of all ages and abilities and across every imaginable genre.

My method is ... LEARN BY MAKING YOUR MUSIC! The student will learn techniques, stylistic elements, tricks ... already by working on his first tracks: to keep motivation and satisfaction high, the result is always visible! The lessons are face-to-face and personalised according to the level of experience and the musical style of the student. The presentation of the information is clear and accompanied by practical examples. I'll show you how to: - use Ableton Live, - program and control synthesizers and virtual instruments, - use microphone and sound card to record your voice and your instruments, - process sound with effects (plugins) and optimize it for diffusion (mixing and mastering), - make your songs, from start to the last details. I also speak Spanish, French, German and Italian.

Ableton Live is the new standard for electronic music. Its very easy to learn and with only a couple of lessons you will be able to start making your own music! Used by almost all EDM, House, Deep House and even Pop artists it is the must-have tool in the new decade. In our classes we will go over making beats, basic music theory, song-writing techniques and production techniques including advanced sound design with synthesizers. If requested, we can also move on to mixing to make your tracks sound just like what you hear on the radio. I specialize in Ableton Live and have released albums on multiple record labels. I hold a degree in Music Production and Sound Engineering from Point Blank Music School and I am currently the Music Content Manager at Vochlea Music and the lead Ableton tutorial writer for Attack Magazine. I also own my own recording and production studio in East London.

I teach theory for all grades, specialising in ABRSM theory. I have access to many past papers. I have also created exercises to help my students. When a students stuggle with an exercise, I create exercises to help master it. Theory should be easy! I aim to have students take Grade 5 theory in 2 terms. About Me I am a friendly teacher, who will help you achieve your desired goal for music theory. I have been teaching live for 15 years, and online for 8 years. As long as your internet connection is good, skype can be almost as good as being in the same room. I have studied with many of the leading teachers in Europe and the USA. I started my education at Junior Department of the Royal Academy of Music (London), where I studied with James Sleigh for five years. I was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, and the National Youth Strings Academy. I the studied my Bachelor of Music at the Royal College of Music (London), where I studied with Andriy Viytovych. I have a Masters of Music from Trinity Laban College of Music and Dance (London), studying under Roger Chase, and a Masters in Fine Art from Gothenburg University (Sweden) with Øvyor Volle (Vertavo Quartet). I also studied in the USA at the Manhattan School of Music, New York, and Chicago College of Performing Arts. I work as a professional viola player across the UK and Scandinavia, with such orchestras as Swedish Radio Orchestra, Stockholm Philharmonic, Bergen, Norwegian Radio, Gothenburg Symphony, Norrkoping Symphony, Jonkoping Sinfonietta, Aarhus Symphony, and English National Ballet Philharmonic. I am also a music arranger and transcriber. I can give lessons once or twice a week. Please note that twice a week does allow for fast progression. Lessons can be at my home in Stockholm, or online. Guitarist, singer, songwriter, composer with 20 years of experience. I started to study guitar in 2002. After 6 months I started playing live music. I began to teach guitar in 2018, in London. I am specialized in beginners and children. You can choose online lessons (Skype, Zoom, FaceTime), or lessons at your home, in London. I can teach in Italian and in English. In the lessons the main lines of study are: - technique exercises to make your hands stronger; - songs suggested by me and songs that you like; - music theory. My name is Armin and I'm a composer, songwriter, sound engineer and of course guitar player graduated from Brunel University in 2011 (MA). Since then I have worked with so many students; from age 5 to adults. I have also worked with young musicians in groups and lead their ensemble to reach their highest potentials. I teach acoustic/electric and nylon strings guitar in variety of styles. The goal is to help you to find what is best for you. I have many students successfully passed both ABRSM and Trinity College grades.
