Improvised dance classes - in the studio, in nature and in the water
Translated by Google. Click to view original.
We explore the body through improvised movement, with and without physical contact. Alone and in groups, we will engage in a sensory and playful approach to our environment, using our skin and our senses as interfaces and meeting spaces.- Instant composition is an improvised dance based on presence and authenticity, combining body expression with group communication. The dancers compose with form, space, rhythm and let themselves be led into surprising and touching situations, to meet others and themselves.
- Contact improvisation is a "dance of the moment", based on the exchange of weight, body communication and a game of pure physicality. We learn to follow our spontaneous impulses and connect with ourselves and with our partner, in a climate of trust and experimentation.
The courses/workshops take place either in a studio, in nature or in a swimming pool heated to 34°C (SPA)
THE COURSES TAKE PLACE THROUGHOUT EUROPE BUT ESPECIALLY IN SWITZERLAND AND FRANCE
Location
At teacher's location: Berne, Switzerland

About Me
Translated by Google. Click to view original.
Dance teacher and Watsu® and WaterDance® practitioner, I have been teaching Contact Improvisation and Instant Composition at international festivals since 2004. My enthusiasm for the organic and expressive qualities of movement led me to also train in Butoh, Authentic Movement, Body Mind Centering and tango. My explorations of Contact improvisation in water and nature, in swimming pools, at sea, in the forest or in the desert, led me to create my own discipline, "Aquatic Bodywaves" (2017), where learning aquatic massage involves dance and improvisation.
Education
Translated by Google. Click to view original.
Due to my training as a sociologist fascinated by human relationships and verbal and bodily communication, I like to combine improvised dance with a search for connection to one's deep nature, intimately linking the support of emotional processes and certain keys of tantra to my work. My teaching accompanies each person in their own discovery of vitality, authenticity, presence and openness.Experience / Qualifications

Painting Tutor: Discover and develop your artistic language
I am an artist and philosopher from Amsterdam currently living in Antwerp. I studied in London where I acquired a BA from Art Academy London and a BA in philosophy from St Mary's University London.
Artistic development starts by identifying your artistic interest. As artists, we don’t always know why we draw and paint the things that we do. Yet they are not random. What captivates us or draws us towards certain artworks? This might be the tonal way in which light reflects, structural forms or mathematical division. The point being, is that we all have such aesthetic interests and step 1 is finding out what interests you!
Step 2 is helping you express your interests through painting techniques, styles and materiality. But it all starts with you. What do you want to say? And how? I will help you do this through discussion, looking at your previous work (if you have any), introducing you to a LARGE variety of artists, potentially copying their styles. I adjust my classes according to your needs.
The goal is simple: to come to understand your artistic interest, help you find techniques to express them and develop your artistic language.
(Please note that just because you have found an artistic interest and a way to express it, it does not mean that you must do only one thing for the rest of your life. It is the downfall of creativity to repeat and paint the same way over and over again. Instead, allow your interests to drive your creativity. Let it be the starting point, venture out and discover it from various angles and ways of expressing it. But also be mindful that as we grow our interests can change and as they change, we must remain honest and respond accordingly such that our artistic language can also grow.)
