I'm Patricia, a passionate violinist originally from Spain.
I have a strong background and experience to give the perfect mix of knowledge and excitement to my teaching. I've taught in both schools and music academies, working with students of all ages. Whether it's kids or adults, I aim to make learning enjoyable and supportive. I also love all kinds of music! Although my studies are mainly classical, I can teach any style depending on the student's needs and preferences.
I currently dedicate myself to perform concerts with my string quartet. I can teach in Spanish and English, at any level.

Professional violinist in Basel - Master Diploms from the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis - Violin lessons - Solfège teacher - Chamber music lessons - Deutsch, English, Français

I like to start from the point of the student, observe his/her abailities and focus a lot on how the body itself can help to develop a good connection with the instrument, in order to create a fluid interraction between the person and the music. For this I try to use my knwoledges of the Alexander Technique. It is important that the position of the instrument is compatible with the body of the student. Furthermore, I like to approach a diverse repertoire from the early baroque period and make the student discover the history of the music in its context. Learning by heart, memorize melodies is also a part of my pedagogy.

After my studies of modern violin in France, I studied in Schola Cantorum Basiliensis and got two Masters in baroque and romantic violin. I have also a degree as Solfège teacher. I am taking Alexander Technique lessons and use it in my own practice and pedagogy.

Orchestral musician and chamber musician, holder of a double master's degree in pedagogy and performance in France and abroad, I would be happy to accompany you on the way to learning violin. My training and orchestral experience have given me a broad musical perspective, but what motivates me most now is passing on this knowledge in a practical and personal way. I’m a professional violinist and passionate teacher.

My course is designed for motivated violinists who are looking for guidance to grow and advance, as well as for beginners interested in discovering the world of the violin.
My teaching approach focuses on developing a strong musical sense together with a clear and structured methodology that ensures complete technical training. Among my greatest interests are pedagogy and psychology ; I read extensively on these topics to become the most well-rounded teacher I can be, capable of helping children, teenagers, and adults in their musical learning.

During my teaching activity, I often find myself recalling lessons and insights I received from my own mentors throughout my studies. I enjoy translating advanced concepts into simple and digestible forms for children and young students. I believe that every teacher has the responsibility to believe in the potential of each student and to constantly challenge themselves to find ways to make even complex ideas accessible. It is precisely at this age that the most important seeds of growth are planted.

I have extensive experience in concert and ensemble performance and have been among the laureates of the Arthur Grumiaux International Violin Competition, the Città di Padova International Violin Competition, the Feast of Duos Sion, and a finalist at the ROSL Chamber Music Competition in London.
With my ensemble Trio Venere, I had the opportunity to perform in a public masterclass with Steven Isserlis at Wigmore Hall.
Coming from a musical family with a strong pedagogical tradition, I had the privilege to learn not only through my formal studies but also by observing my parents teach from an early age.
I have over seven years of teaching experience, and several of my students have successfully passed entrance exams for Italian conservatories (higher education) and won prizes in national youth competitions.
