I taught high school math for multiple years in East LA with the program Teach for America that places top university graduates in under served neighbourhoods. As I lived in the UK for many years and have taught many British students, I am also intimately familiar with the UK curriculum. Furthermore, I have tutored students studying the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum for many years. Having attended the Calandreta primary, nursery, and secondary school (an immersive Occitan-language program based on Freinet and Montessori pedagogies), I grew up in a multilingual environment and developed a natural aptitude for learning and sharing the languages I speak (French, English, Spanish, and Occitan). I offer tailored lessons for children, adapted to their level and age. For younger children, I focus primarily on conversation in their target language, as well as games and reading in the language they are learning. For older children, I also offer homework help or support with their textbooks. I strive to teach languages using the same pedagogies that allowed me to become multilingual from a very young age.
