In a lesson explaining the basics of the Dutch language, I focus on four main elements: pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary and sentence structure. Pronunciation: I start by introducing the Dutch sounds and letters, including difficult sounds such as 'g', 'sch', and the long and short vowels. Grammar: Then I explain basic grammar, such as conjugating verbs in the present tense, using articles ('the', 'het', 'een'), and making plurals. Vocabulary: I introduce basic vocabulary that is used every day, such as greetings, family members, colors, and numbers. Sentence structure: Finally, I explain the basic principles of sentence structure, such as the order of subject, verb and object in a sentence, and simple interrogative sentences. Each lesson is supported with practical exercises and examples to actively involve students and strengthen their understanding.
