Often, motivated students struggle academically simply because they have not yet learned how to study effectively. My teaching method focuses on clearly presenting the concrete concepts that lie behind formulas, which may initially seem abstract. 👨‍🎓 With 4 years of experience in distance education, I am a mathematics teacher specializing in support lessons and private lessons. I also teach physics and chemistry as well as scientific subjects in general.

I hold a Master's degree in Operational Research (Applied Mathematics) and I have been teaching private lessons for more than three years, mainly mathematics for middle and high school levels.

✏ I have taught students from different schools, whether public, private, following the French program (mission), Belgian, Swiss, Spanish (students from French-speaking or English-speaking Spanish schools) or American. In summary, all French or English programs.

✏ I support students from A to Z in all stages of their learning, using a simple, new generation and effective methodology: explanation of lessons, summary of lessons, application and deepening exercises, etc.

Sessions usually take place as follows:

3️⃣ We make sure to stay up to date with the student's class teacher to track their progress and align our work with what is being taught in class.

4️⃣ Then I provide exams similar to what may be offered in class.

5️⃣ Upon request, I write a monthly report to keep parents informed of their child's level throughout the course.

I also adapt my methodology according to the needs of each student, which means that everyone has a personalized working method adapted to their needs!

Hello,
My name is Estebann and I am passionate about mathematics. I give math lessons from primary school to high school level. I have a scientific french baccalauréate. I can teach a lot of subjects such as algebra, geometry, function analyse, probabilities, complex numbers, matrices, graph theory and numerical sequences.

To jump straight to the point, I love mathematics. But, it didn't always come easy to me.

In third grade we were tested on the multiplication table and I received the lowest grade in my class. I still remember the shame I felt and I was asking myself how will I ever be good at this subject if I was already doing so poorly. Well, I am a walking example of it doesn't matter how you start, it only matters how you finish.

I am now a doctor in Mathematics (obtained my PhD from EPFL in 2022) with over five years of teaching experience ranging from primary school pupils to university students. My secret? I taught myself how to learn.

When people talk about mathematics they portray it as a mystical creature that is incomprehensible and untameable. In actuality, it is more like legos. With each bit of new knowledge you gain, you get to build these magnificent worlds of concepts, theorems and operations.

I would love to build some lego structures with you. I am very passionate about my work and I have the patience and dedication to help you conquer any challenge you may face.

As tutoring is such an individualistic practice, it will be tailored to you and your needs. The first lesson will be an introduction to one another and a way for me to familiarise myself with your math knowledge and issues. We will then decide on a tutoring plan and set goals. I am looking to help a high school or middle school student with learning math and physics concepts or with their homework as well as possibly prepare them for exams. I am a masters student at ETH in Zurich. I have a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and have very good knowledge in Maths and Physics especially. I also took the IB Diploma so I have extra experience there in the style of teaching and examination for the IB exams. I have experience tutoring kids from the age of 8 to 18.

Ils n’ont donc pas la possibilité de se faire une bonne représentation de ce qui leur est demandé dans leur cursus scolaire ou universitaire.
