English 1-2-1: Private English lessons in French-speaking Switzerland

Student in Letters at the University of Lausanne passionate about literature and culture, I give lessons to prepare for quizzes or exams as well as help with homework. The student being at the center of the course, I will be attentive to his needs, and will adapt the techniques required to make him progress as well as possible according to his personality. Discussion and exchange are at the center of rewarding and effective learning.

Student at the HEP Vaud, I have experience teaching students aged 7 to 12 for over 3 years. I know the Geneva and Vaud school curriculum perfectly. Sensitive to students with learning difficulties, I am able to help them learn. Of French mother tongue, I speak fluently English (lived 5 years in England) and German.

A passionate English teacher, holder of a degree in English literature and a CELTA certification (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) specializing in adult education, I have dedicated more than three years to inspiring and to teach to children as well as adults. For example, as tutoring, homework, written / oral comprehension or to improve the discussion it is quite possible, I adapt according to the needs of the student. At the level of my methods, the same thing, each student has his way of learning and my goal is to really use a method that facilitates learning at best and also to appreciate the course.

I offer help for student's homework in English or Spanish. If, after helping with homework, the student has trouble understanding a grammar or language rule, I will provide explanations with documents that I have prepared in advance for him / her.

I have been teaching English for many years and have watched my students progress, pass exams and improve both spoken and written English, and watched them go from one level to the next. My classes are both fun and informative and no two classes are ever the same! I do focus on the individual student and what they want to achieve, whether it be conversational classes or striving to pass an exam, aided with writing and listening. I have prepared students for Trinity and Cambridge exams, as well as Escuela Idiomas. All of my students passed their exams, some with distinctions. I also offer homework support to students. I do put emphasis on pronunciation. I sometimes assign homework, but I find that often the case may be that if the student concentrates on what we achieved in the lesson on that day, and studies that content. I do, however, encourage a little study in order to progress and achieve your personal goal.

I can offer your child lessons in two different subjects, as an aid for his primary or secondary education 1. I am a second year student in the gymnasium, with a corresponding level in the following categories: Mathematics, French, and English. I also have knowledge for the Maths and Physics option.
