Corporate Finance will include an exhaustive content for students who want to study a finance degree and/or pursue a career in finance. Corporate Finance will give the student further insights into the following topics (High-level list below):

1. Insights into the 3 financial statements (lines for each statement and how the 3 statements are linked)
2. Corporate valuation - different valuation methodologies for companies across various spaces and the pros and cons of each valuation method
3. Leveraged Buyout - definition and further insights as to the investor's rationale
4. Macroeconomic environment and latest trends

Thanks to my experiences, I plan to provide some insights into the investment banking space, which can help the students prepare for future interviews and give them an idea as to how the job looks like on a daily basis, its expectations and perks and eventually the interview process and the candidate expectations.

This class will provide content, theory, and exercises to students at all levels who want to flourish and excel in mathematics whether that is for IB, A-Levels, GCSE or any school examination. To be more precise the content of this mathematics course may range from fraction calculations (for beginners and usually younger students) to integrals and derivatives (for advanced and usually older students). The strong curriculum provided in this course will make the students ready to handle any academic challenges they may face in mathematics. Last but not least, the professor is quite flexible with the pace of the students and the course content, meaning that he is willing to deep dive any math topics that the students may find challenging and help them solve them as soon as possible.

Kian
Finance, accounting & economics – clearly explained, with practical support
My name is Kian, an experienced tutor from Bern. I guide students, career starters, and professionals on their journey through the world of numbers—whether in their studies, exam preparation, or in their everyday professional lives.

With my structured, motivating, and practical approach, I'll help you not only solve problems, but also truly understand economic relationships, confidently handle numbers, and confidently apply financial knowledge in real-life situations. My lessons are personalized, accessible, and at eye level.

Who I am – and why I teach:
I have many years of experience teaching financial and economic topics – from accounting to business administration to financial analysis. I teach students from various disciplines as well as professionals who want to expand their business skills.

In addition to my teaching activities, I have participated in various business projects, including budget planning, financial modeling, and cost accounting. This combination of theory and practice makes my teaching particularly realistic and, at the same time, easy to understand.

I love it when complex content suddenly makes sense – and when people realize they can handle business topics confidently and strategically. For me, tutoring is more than just imparting knowledge – it's a collaborative process of developing ideas that builds self-confidence.

What you can expect from me:

-Individual lessons with a focus on finance, bookkeeping, accounting & economics
-Support with exams, homework, projects or professional challenges
-Step-by-step explanations – practical, clear and adapted to your situation
-Communication of business contexts and financial decision-making logic
-Development of long-term numerical understanding and structured thinking
-Flexible lessons in Bern or online – competent, individual & sustainable

Why I can help you understand finances:

Because I know how difficult economics can seem at first glance – and because I can help you look behind the terms, formulas and processes:
How companies tick, how to interpret numbers, and how to make smart decisions from them.

With me, you won't just learn how to make bookings correctly—you'll learn how to think like an entrepreneur. I'll guide you not only in understanding business, but also in working with it confidently.

Learn finance.
Understand how the economy works – and how you can use it to your advantage.
If you are ready to think economically, I am ready to accompany you.

Hi! I’m John, a Swiss quantitative trader-developer with an MSc in Finance. I run 30+ systematic strategies (equities, FX, crypto) and love turning complex finance into clear, practical steps you can actually use.

What you’ll learn (mix & match)

Financial markets & macro basics: order types, ETFs vs. stocks, costs/slippage, yield curves, policy shocks, gold/Treasuries as hedges.

Investing & portfolio: asset allocation, volatility targeting, drawdown control, rebalancing.

Build your own strategy: momentum/mean reversion/factors, feature design, backtesting with costs, out-of-sample validation.

AI for finance (intro): simple NLP/sentiment overlays and evaluation pitfalls.

Execution hygiene: from backtest to real-life constraints; monitoring and post-trade review.

How my classes work

Short concept → hands-on build → recap & next steps.

You leave each session with templates, checklists, and notebooks you can reuse.

Who this is for:

Motivated beginners to advanced: high-school (16+), university, career switchers, and active investors.

Coding not required—helpful but optional. I adapt the pace and provide starter notebooks.

Typical 5-lesson path (example)

Markets & risk metrics (returns, drawdown, Sharpe)

Portfolio & position sizing (target vol, costs)

Macro dashboard & regime thinking

Strategy prototype (momentum or mean-reversion) + OOS test

Review, robustness checks, and next steps

Format

Online only, English or French. Schedules available in US time zones.

Materials included: slides, worksheets, starter code, and public datasets.

Education only — not investment advice.
