About Me

After completing long studies of literature and film writing, I'm currently working as a scriptwriter and video game writer.
I've been regularly giving private lessons in my areas of expertise over the last ten years, and my taste for transmitting knowledge has only grown more.

About the French lessons: I've worked a few years as a Foreign Language French teacher (FLE), but I feel more comfortable in small groups. It's easier to provide adapted advice and support, since every student needs to follow their own rhythm.

About the drawing lessons: My drawing skills come from an academic background, but have mostly been self-taught. I'd gladly send some pictures of my work if you need to see what I'm capable of. What I love the most is introducing beginners to drawing, and the methods I use for teaching have proven to be super effective!

I can't wait to share my knowledge with you and your child.

Education

International High School: I joined international classes at the age of thirteen, which is the reason I'm fluent in English.
University of Nice (Modern and Classical French literature): After completing 3 years in a Prépa Littéraire, I followed literature studies, mostly in French literature, while educating myself on English literature.
Méliès Campus in Cannes (Scriptwriting Studies): I've specialized myself in Creative writing for Film and Television, as well as Video Games.

We feel lucky to having found Marie. She’s very flexible and was able to fit in perfectly for our needs. We’ll keep on going taking lessons with her. Thanks Marie!
Marie did a great job teaching conversational French to my 15 year old son. He felt comfortable speaking with her and made good progress during his one week, one and a half hour lessons. Thanks Marie!
Being a French Literature student, I'm also a FLE part-time teacher. I've got a great experience of teaching with various levels, from adults to children. I can adapt very easily to your level, and work with you on a personalised program. With me, learn to speak naturally. My method is mostly conversational, and I guarantee it is very efficient!

MENTORING IN ARTS : Discover how to say something through your artistic work.
I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen. I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist. I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns. In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on. You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns. Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.

Intermediate Figure Drawing: How To Draw Proportionate People
Figure drawing can be the basis of all drawings you want to accomplish. The skills you grasp from practicing figure drawing can translate to other skills, because you are practicing finding and drawing details that might be overlooked. In this class, you will learn how to simply draw people. All the little details that make a person, a person. You will be taught how to draw facial features and details on the body proportionally through practicing on models online and live, doing different poses. I will guide you to see and prioritize details that can truly encapsulate the essence of a human through a small lecture. However, most of your learning will be through active practice. With different lessons, we will be focusing on different concepts, but I will give you feedback regardless, through active practice. Classical drawing and painting techniques for beginners and advanced
I teach (one-on-one) in my studio and online(internationally)covering painting and drawing techniques for beginners, advanced students, and aspiring art school applicants. I have a series of significant artistic achievements, having been awarded in the most prestigious international figurative art competitions—competitions that value study, hard work, and knowledge. I have studied art throughout my life and I always strive to reach a high level of performance, with the goal of passing on everything I have learned at the highest standard. Throughout my career, I have helped many individuals push their limits and improve their artistic techniques—some doing it as a hobby, others achieving exceptional results in the entrance exams for art and architecture universities. These courses are personalized for any level and age, following a systematic process. Topics include: portraiture, the human figure, anatomy, still life, landscapes, the science of light and shadow, drawing/painting techniques, color theory, perspective, design, etc. I am also open to collaborations for workshops in any city—art classes on various themes such as classical and realistic, impressionist, or even modern approaches, all based on principles learned from Old Masters’ techniques. These are systems and procedures taught only in Florence, where I also studied for a period. These techniques are not commonly known or practiced in schools in Romania. Since a portfolio is important in showcasing the level of an art teacher, you can view examples (drawings, paintings) from my personal portfolio and a description of my career on my website, tusaiart. Another important point is that I offer strictly one-on-one teaching sessions—not group lessons with 5–10 students per session. Over 10 years of teaching experience Extensive experience in the field of art: I started working with pencil and brush in kindergarten, and for nearly 30 years I have continued to practice this passion intensively, always aiming to become one of the best in the field.

Visual Arts: digital arts, oil and acrylic painting, and drawing
Every class is suited towards your skill level and needs. If you're interested in digital art, you can learn how to create digital arts using Krita, a free digital arts software that I highly recommend for it's tools and features similar to that of Photoshop's. If you already experimented on your own software, I will help you with rendering, anatomy, and composition. If you're interested in painting, I can provide materials if needed. I am experienced with both oil painting and acrylic painting. I can help you create both Fine Arts, or illustration. About me: Hello, my name is Jacey and I'm currently attending NYU to get my certification to teach visual arts K-12. The reason I want to become an art teacher is to help students develop their own style. Everybody has their own habits and tendencies when making art, and I want to help you thrive using your own style– or, if you want to become the master of realism and copying, I can help with that too. Every artists has their own goals! I also believe in creating art as a way of a stress-reliever. If you'd like to do your own thing while having someone to listen to, I can create art by your side and talk about you!
