Présentation
Hi, I’m Pian — a pianist, jazz composer, and music educator based in Maastricht. Music has always been my way of telling stories, and I love blending jazz with influences from R&B, pop, classical, and Oriental folk traditions. What inspires me most is helping others discover their own musical voice and confidence at the piano.

My journey started with classical piano — in 2011 I won the Golden Award at the Singapore International Culture and Art Festival and studied Classical Piano Performance & Art Management at XingHai Conservatory. A few years later, after a life-changing John Scofield concert, I fell in love with jazz and moved to the Netherlands, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Piano Performance at Maastricht Conservatorium. I recently completed my Master’s in Specialized Composition and Performance there, studying with Jesse Passenier, Wolfgang Braun, and Aaron Parks.

As a performer, I lead my own jazz quartet Micro Oxygen, play in creative cross-genre projects, and create shows like The Dream Dealer, which combines live jazz and painting. In the past, I’ve also worked as a ballet pianist at ADE Company, and since 2024 I’ve been the choir leader and conductor of Ut Koer in Heerlen.

Teaching, though, has always been close to my heart. I’ve been giving lessons since 2012 to students of all ages — from complete beginners to advanced players — in private lessons, music academies, and international schools. Right now, I teach jazz piano at UWC Maastricht and piano at SCHUNCK, as well as privately. My lessons are a mix of structure and creativity: I want students to have a solid technical foundation, but also the freedom to explore, improvise, and enjoy the music they love. Whether you’re into jazz, pop, classical, film music, or your own compositions, I’ll guide you at your own pace and make learning both inspiring and fun.

This course is intended for beginners wishing to learn the piano, whether they are children or adults.
Trained at the Gretry Academy, I offer adapted piano lessons using different learning methods, including scores and theory (music theory).

For complete beginners, it can be above all a musical awakening (notions, hand coordination, theory, ...)
I have a THOMANN digital piano at home which is available to learners.

For the 2024-2025 academic year, classes will begin in mid-September.

My course is aimed at amateur and professional pianists wishing to deepen their technique in terms of improvisation, understanding of harmony and accompaniment; I also offer "coaching" sessions in the context of assistance with creation (composition, interpretation etc.), I insist on the fact that it is not essential to have an in-depth knowledge of music theory!
As long as the motivation and desire are there, the rest will follow!
Looking forward to meeting you!

I give lessons of 1 hour, at home if necessary, for students of all levels and styles of play. My teaching covers both classical music and modern flute (jazz, etc.); the work done can focus on music of the student's choice, or I can simply redirect it to methods and scores if he wishes to work on them together. The idea is to progress, but above all to have fun, the two go hand in hand.

I give lessons in Liège.

I will explain to you or your child clearly and specifically how and what you should be able to/know to make some music for your free time. we will immediately start learning to play songs, chords and, if you think it is necessary, also learn to read some music.

"The piano is an instrument that makes so many people dream! If only the brake of theory did not exist"

in the course of conversations, I have often heard this sentence which puts me off. I am Thomas, a pianist student at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Liège where I am finishing my course. I started music far from Theory and solfège classes, by a method of my own, on which I worked quite a bit, in order to offer it to my students (I come from France where I had been teaching for 6 years alongside my studies).

I proceed as follows: we first work on the ability to listen, and then we deduce the technical and/or theoretical concepts. music comes first and foremost through the spoken word!

trained in classical, I have won international competitions, and have stage experience that allowed me to test my method!

I am a singer and also a piano teacher I have good technique and will teach you all the secrets in order to have a beautiful touch while having fun whether it is for singing or the piano I will teach you to play and sing in all the styles that you want.

Any level welcome in this class. Learning songs is the beginning of the adventure, learning to play music with freedom is the lifelong journey. Improvisation does not mean we forget about technique! So, learn some saxophone, some jazz skills, and music theory in a tried-and-tested way developed over my many years of teaching.

I am as passionate about improvisation as the saxophone itself, the two go together beautifully.

I am Julia, a professional saxophonist originally from Montreal, Canada. I live in the Netherlands for 4 years and have a Master's degree in Music. I compose, engineer and perform music. I also love to teach, I have experiences with ages 9 to 90. The main idea of my teaching philosophy is to get the sound in your head out into the air. "Guided Fearless Music-Making" is my motto!

Hello! I’m Eleni, a singer from Greece with nearly seven years of experience teaching music. Whether you're a beginner looking to build a strong foundation or more experienced wanting to refine your skills, all lessons are tailored to each student's needs and goals, with the aim of building confidence and authenticity in their singing and/or develop a strong foundation on musical knowledge.

For the singing lessons, we'll be covering breathing and vocal technique, interpretation along with expression and, depending on your goals, the approach we will have can be either focued on singing or holistic; including music theory, rhythmic skills and basic piano skills.

Lessons are available in various styles, so whatever your musical passion, we can bring it to life together!
And, having a background in jazz music, I can also help you develop your improvisation skills, giving you the freedom to explore and create your own sound!

Music theory, rhythmic lessons and basic piano skills are, of course, also offered as separate courses. So if you have no idea on how to read music or you are feeling clumsy when it comes to rhythm or piano, there's no problem! We can work on this together from scratch! :)
