Classical double bass lessons for all levels

I am a student at the Haute École de Musique in Geneva. At the Paris CRR, I obtained my double bass DEM, my advanced cycle price, my concert cycle price specializing in orchestra as well as my CFEM in music theory. I want to give lessons in support of young people or adults in difficulty or needing motivation and dynamism in a good atmosphere with all the same rigor ^^ I would like to provide specific support to each student according to his needs, of his pace and his desire while requiring a minimum of work from one course to another :)

I am a professional contrabassist graduated with distinction from the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne (HEMU) and holding a bachelor degree from Yong Siew Toh Conservatory in National University of Singapore under full scholarship. I have had a lot of experience teaching privately in Switzerland, Singapore, and South Korea. I can help my students find good musical content and adapt the lessons to each student's needs and wishes. Plus, you can practice your English and Korean at the same time!

About the Lesson: Are you a music enthusiast that wants to start learning how to play? Are you an already good player but you want to further develop your skills? In these lessons, we will create a curriculum together, based on your wishes, needs and musical taste. Our goal is for you to be able to express yourself through your instrument. I am a double bass player based in the city of Leuven. I recently obtained my third master in music in double bass at the LUCA School of Arts – Campus Lemmens. I am currently working as a double bass tutti in the Brussels Philharmonic and i am the bass player of the ensembleDRE. As a double bass player i have played in different amateurs and young Orchestras like NJO, the junge-deutsch franzosische philarmonie and Futurorchestra, and with professional Orchestras like Casco Phil and Ataneres Ensemble. As a teacher i have taught pop music and electric bass in Italy. Through my experiences , concerning different kinds of music, i would like to approach the double bass and/or electric bass to people of any age. At the same time, I can offer clearly structured lessons to students of any age, interested in classical music repertoire but also in other genres as pop and rock. I am a jazz musician with a lot of intenational performances in my career, I have played all through Europe and in China with amazing musicians such as Peter Evans, Shane Endsley, Ohad Talmor, André Fernandes, Jesús Santandreu, Javier Subatín, Óscar Graça, João Paulo Esteves-da-Silva, Maria Villanueva and others. Aside from that, I have also participated in professional theatre companies as an orchestra member and also in projects outside of the Jazz world. He is active in the dutch and Italian jazz scenes playing in clubs, neck, and festivals with many different projects. He also studied with Frans van der Hoeven, Ernst Glerum, Marco Siniscalco, Andrea Pighi, Jarmo Hoogendijk, Eric Ineke, Roelof Meijer. Since 2015 he is a member of the staff o the Fara Music Festival.

My priority is that everyone takes pleasure in playing while progressing. My teaching is based on personalized musical follow-up: Discovery, Leisure, Methodical learning and Improvement. The repertoire will be chosen according to the desires of each student. I am convinced that the theoretical fundamentals, remain essential to be accomplished as a musician. However, it remains obvious to me that the practice of the instrument goes hand in hand with a more theoretical teaching. It is for this reason that my students touch the instrument from the first lesson. My teaching allows to acquire the musical fundamentals while having fun, without demotivation.
