I am a native-English speaker with a degree and a CELTA certificate. I have just spent a year teaching English in Belgium, and was able to form special and lasting relationships with my students there. I specialise in teaching English to older students and adults, from pre-intermediate to upper-intermediate levels. My teaching focuses on contextualising English in a useful way, so that the language can be most successfully used in real life. I keep my lessons entertaining and use lots of student-focused communicative practice. I am also able to offer support with more specific areas such as CVs and written work, proofreading and job interview preparation. I am a friendly, supportive and dedicated teacher :)

For French tutoring, I focus on conversational practice, vocabulary, and cultural nuances. As an English TEFL tutor, I emphasise real-world scenarios, grammar, speaking fluency, and listening comprehension. I assign homework weekly to assess the students learning skills and periodic progress reports monthly to see the students learning growth. Throughout, I maintain a positive and supportive tone to motivate and engage my students with fun and active activities.
