I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts. I give private piano lessons for all levels and styles (classical, jazz, Latin, new age, pop...), as well as music theory, composition and improvisation lessons. My lessons are distinguished by their dynamics, practical approach and adaptation to the needs and interests of the student. The lessons (live or online) take place in my studio next to the Maastunnel, where I have a premium stage piano and a top-quality webcam setup. I speak Dutch at an intermediate level, which is improving every day.

Hi! I am a piano teacher with 10 years of teaching experience. I specialize with online piano teaching and I choose individual program for each of my students. I teach all around the globe, mostly students from China and Canada. I grew up in musician family. My father plays viola in Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice, Poland and my mother teaches theory and history of music. I have two sisters who are also musicians. I like sport activities like climbing, cycling, hiking and long walks in the forest. I like Asian and Italian cuisine. My favourite meals are sushi, ramen, pizza and spaghetti pasta. Later I moved to Canada to continue my education with professor Lee Kum Sing at Vancouver Academy of Music (2017-2019). During my career I achieved numerous awards on many significant piano competitions. I have become platinum winner at Vancouver International Music Competition in 2017 which was held to celebrate 150th Canada’s birthday. I became Platinum Cash Prize Winner and achieved numerous extra prices. In October 2015 I accomplished the second round of XVII International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. This achievement is a promotion to the top 30 world best young pianists. I achieved 3rd place twice (2013, 2015) in the National Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland. In 2008, I won the first prize and the Special Award of Elżbieta Stefańska for the best performance of Johann Sebastian Bach piece at the 10th Ludwik Stefański and Halina Czerny-Stefańska Piano Competition in Płock, Poland. Two years later I received second price in the 16th Polish Piano Competition in Konin, Poland and I was awarded the third prize at the International Podkarpacki Chopin Competition held in Rzeszów, Poland. I have been awarded many scholarships, such as those sponsored by the Mayor of my hometown Katowice, the Marshal of Silesian Province and the Polish Prime Minister. I cooperated with Piotr Kler Foundation and recorded three solo CDs with Fryderyk Chopin's music. In 2014 I was the very first to receive a Krystian Zimerman Award for most talented young pianists.

The older I get, the more I love. Especially during these times of immense ugliness and hate, wars and conflict, music- that's always been all about love - is the home I keep returning to. To me, mentoring someone is all about sharing the love for the instrument, thirst about the material, desire to explore new musical paths and respect for whatever happens whilst playing. Not only we will explore technical paths and understand rhythm under a totally different light but also communicate through improvisation and modal principles. My goal is for you to love the instrument a bit more, music a bit more and as Antoine de Saint-Exupéry said "Perhaps love is the process of my leading you gently back to yourself". My teaching method is carefully tailored to the specific needs of each student, regardless of the subject we are working on (music theory, cello, music history, analysis, conducting, etc.). The pace of learning is always set by the student, ensuring that each lesson aligns realistically with their goals and interests. Whether you’re looking for a more flexible, amateur approach — open to diverse content — or require a rigorous plan oriented toward exams, auditions, or academic improvement, I design a personalized educational pathway. My approach is rooted in a highly practical vision of learning, based on the educational model in which I was trained during my master’s degrees in Conducting (Antwerp) and Historical Cello (Brussels). I understand teaching as a dynamic process where deep understanding takes precedence over rote memorization.

I teach online via Zoom, using software which allows you to see the exact keys I'm playing on my keyboard. My teaching method is to focus on whatever type of music the student loves most, and to build from there. I believe that many people give up their dream of playing an instrument simply because they aren't inspired enough, so my goal is to instill a love for music, whatever that means personally for each individual student. Everyone learns differently and has their own pace and rhythm. I have some students who like to have a regular weekly or biweekly lesson, and others who just get in touch once in a while when they have digested the previous lesson and feel ready to build on it. Whatever the case, I am very flexible and we can figure out what works best for you. A bit about me: Originally honing my skills on the British jazz scene and holding residencies in restaurants and bars around the country, I then went on to tour the world playing on cruise ships, hotels and festivals. I returned to London to complete my master's in jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music, and during this time performed regularly at Ronnie Scotts, The Vortex and many other venues across the UK. I then spent two years in South America learning about salsa and Cuban music. I now mainly work as a transcriber, writing sheet music for all instruments including full Big Band scores. I have also worked extensively in musical theatre, most recently as musical director for 'Jersey Boys', and on the first US national tour of 'Summer: the Donna Summer Musical'. Oriental Songs: Learn to play the most famous oriental tunes and songs to be able to give a distinctive performance. As for the piano, we will focus on: Musical Notes: Learn to read and write notes easily while improving your musical skills. Musical Scales: Study major and minor scales and their effect on playing pieces. Chords: Learn to build different chords and how to use them in playing. Guitar and Music Theory classes, beginner level. The classes are private (1 student per class) and are personalized, adapting to the tastes and objectives of each student. They last one hour and are 100% virtual via Zoom. The idea is to learn dynamically, seeing concrete examples with songs, and always putting theory into practice. Pianist and musicologist, I have been teaching piano in all styles (classical, jazz, film and popular music) to students of all ages for almost 20 years.
