I am a professional recording and touring bass player with over 9 years of experience, having worked with international artists such as Burna Boy, Rema, Psquare, Oxlade, Phyno, Chike, Nelson Freitas, Anselmo Ralph, and many more across Europe and Africa.

In these lessons, students will learn:

I’m a professional bass guitarist with international touring and recording experience, teaching electric bass to beginners, intermediate, and advanced players.

My lessons are practical, structured, and student-focused. We work on groove, timing, technique, theory made simple, and real-world application — always adapted to your level and musical goals. I specialize in modern styles including Afrobeats, gospel, funk, pop, R&B, and contemporary worship, while also building strong foundations in reading, ear training, and improvisation.

I’m patient, encouraging, and results-driven. Whether you’re starting from zero, preparing for gigs, improving your feel, or learning to play confidently with other musicians, I’ll guide you step by step and keep lessons enjoyable and motivating.

About the Lesson:

Are you a music enthusiast that wants to start learning how to play? Are you an already good player but you want to further develop your skills?
In these lessons, we will create a curriculum together, based on your wishes, needs and musical taste. Our goal is for you to be able to express yourself through your instrument.

Folk or classical acoustic guitar.

The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.

For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...).

For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...).

Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. The objectives take into consideration the following points:

-Study of various playing techniques, chords, harmony, music of your choice, rhythm, with reading of tablature, teaching structured around the repertoire you like, technique of developing the musical ear
- Discovery of the neck, notes and basic positions of open chords
- Left / right hand coordination and rhythm exercises for the right hand
- Learning of different pieces of your choice

Are you a beginner?? No worries: no experience is required! 😁
I can teach you the basics to produce sounds with your saxophone: position of the embouchure (teeth, tongue, lips and vocal cords' position, an element often forgotten), fingerings, use of diafragma,...
After the first two lessons spent on the mouthpiece and neck for the sound production, we will immediately start to play some super easy duos together to practice your capacity of listening, pay attention to the other, ear training as well. I normally use the book of Peter Wastall (titled Learn as you play) as support, but it is not mandatory. There are plenty of good books btw!

Are you an intermediate / advanced student?? I am sure you can still improve in all the basics, but on a different level. I'll teach you the importance of the "voicing" (technique named by the american saxophonist and pedagogue Donald Sinta) to improve your sound production and projection as well as the capacity of correcting and improving the intonation. You can learn all about phrasing and music interpretation, from tonal music until contemporary atonal compositions. And still, you can improve your playing together, practicing in duo on different aspects like tuning, balance, interpretation, performance etc.
