I specialize in teaching French and English. My aim is for my students to be as fluent as possible and to enjoy speaking a foreign language. I give homework assignment after each lesson. I encourage as much conversation as possible in both English and French. The main criterion for me is to enjoy expressing oneself in a language in order to overcome the fear of speaking. The aim is to enjoy speaking and feel more and more at ease as you progress. I try to teach as lively as possible.

I've been teaching for 40 years now. I taught English and French in secondary schools.
And now, I teach English at a business school to students in BTS, Bachelor's and
Master's programmes. The sections I teach are : Communication, Management, Small and
medium-sized enterprises, Negotiation and digital customer relations.
I set up my private French and English lessons in 1985. That's forty years of experience in the field of tutoring. In addition to my traditional school teaching, I have taught French conversation to foreigners. My aim was to make them fluent. And I've had good results. Most of them speak French fluently now.
I've learnt from experience that, to learn a language, you have to learn to love it. You love it when you want to speak it fluently and practise it in its country of origin.You must also
love a certain way of being and living of the people who speak it. This is called culture or
civilisation.
I like students who are interested in English history and civilisation. There are, of course, no prerequisites, no preconditions. I also work a lot on grammar and vocabulary, necessary for clear and well-constructed expression, and I give regular exercises to do after each lesson.
However, I always have in mind the desire to guide my students towards everyday practice, which, later on, will enable them to feel at ease in the country where it is spoken.
A language is alive. It is the result of daily practice. It certainly requires methodical learning, essential to exam succes ; but we also need to go beyond this approach.
That's why, alongside the traditional academic work, I encourage exchange and conversation in the language being studied, with the aim of making my lessons as lively as possible.

Après des études secondaires au Lycée Berthollet à Annecy, France, et l'obtention de mon baccalauréat, j'ai suivi une formation à Vevey, Suisse, dans une école de langues et travaillé avec un tuteur anglais, diplômé de l'université de Cambridge, pendant un an. Je me suis inscrit ensuite en licence de Français et d'anglais à la Faculté des Lettres d'Aix-en Provence. J'ai obtenu un Master en Français, Lettres Modernes, et un Master en anglais et civilisation anglaise.

Certified English teacher (Master of English and French from the faculty of Aix-en Provence,) Trainer in a higher business school, (BTS, Bachelor, Masters students), I specialize in teaching French and English for forty years. This is done with middle and high school students as well as post-baccalaureate students. I teach general and business English. But I also really like, and am increasingly specializing in, teaching French and French conversation to foreign learners who want to acquire mastery of my mother tongue. In all my classes, I encourage conversation as much as possible, both in English and in French. For me, the criterion for success is the pleasure one initially experiences in practicing a language, gradually gaining confidence. This eliminates the natural fear we have of expressing ourselves in a foreign language. I like to start with a text and stimulate conversation. I give summary tasks at the end of each lesson to establish learning. Grammar, syntax, vocabulary. Words are always learned, accompanied by their use, sometimes idiomatic, in a sentence. The sentence is taken from the context studied. We never remember words caught in the air. I try to make my classes as lively and attractive as possible.
