This class is a playful introduction to the world of fashion design for children. We will explore the creative side of design through simple fashion sketching and drawing, where kids can bring their clothing ideas to life on paper.
Students will also learn basic sewing techniques, both by hand and with a sewing machine, while creating fun and practical beginner-friendly projects. The lessons are designed to build confidence step by step, balancing creativity with useful technical skills.
The class is perfect for children who love costumes, clothing, and crafts, as well as for aspiring young fashion designers who want to start turning their ideas into real garments.
By the end, every student will have gained new sewing skills, a deeper understanding of fashion design, and their own unique handmade pieces to be proud of.

About Me
I am Maarja (artist name: Marie von Voxel) — a costume designer and 3D artist with over a decade of experience in theatre costume and a recent focus on digital couture. I am a visiting lecturer at the Estonian Academy of Arts and exhibit my work across Europe. I combine a strong practical production background with contemporary digital workflows to help students turn ideas into finished garments and visual stories.
