I am a native English speaker. I have 14 years of middle and high school teaching experience in the USA, where I taught English every day (as well as other subjects.) I have tutored online for 5 years, where I have taught over 3000 learners who have given me a rating of 5/5. I have also lectured at medical schools in a number of countries over a period of 17 years. I have a CELTA certificate in teaching English from Cambridge University, England. In addition, I have an MBA (Hons.) degree from a university in the US, and a medical degree as I was a physician for many years.
I live in Kurashiki as I am married to a Japanese national.

My school teaching background is as an enthusiastic and inspiring class teacher in a USA private school for 17 years. There I taught English and other academic subjects for the middle school and high school classes.
Here is a summary of some additional details:
• Native English speaker – originally from South Africa, but I lived in the US for
over 30 years.
• Originally a physician for 23 years, after which I received an MBA degree.
• I have both a CELTA and a TEFL certificate. They were each over 120 hours face-to-face and included teaching students each day.
• I would be interested in teaching those who are 11 years and older, individually or in a class (B1 level or above), or in preparation for an examination, especially IELTS and TOEFL. Given my background, I have had a number of students from the business and medical professionals.
• My philosophy is to ensure that the learners I teach are inspired and want to study, enjoy my classes, and as a result, do superior work so that they can reach their full potential.
