I am Laura and I have been dedicated to individualized teaching for over 4 years. From the comfort of your homes, I offer dynamic, personalized and fun learning.
I adapt to the needs of each student and, therefore, I advise on different aspects of the English language, as specific as improving your English for your work environment, as well as teaching at the earliest ages with methodologies such as Total Physical Response or Task-Based Language Teaching. I have an IELTS level C2 qualification and have lived in England for four years, so I have a native level of pronunciation. In addition, I specialize in teaching for British Colleges, which could have a more complete preparation for the rest of the subjects.
I have extensive experience working in private classes with children, teenagers and adults. I have also completed the first year of teaching in Madrid and a university degree in the United Kingdom.

About Me

My teaching method is based on following the student's interests and learning capabilities so that they can enjoy and have fun while learning a language.

Speaking in English is a must, and although it might take a while, listening and speaking will be our best ally in our classes. Little by little you'll discover how much you're learning without realising it.

Based on the age of the student, I include age appropriate games and tasks that lets them learn such an important language in a fun way. Without realising it, they will be learning grammar and of course we will focus on their school curriculum if necessary.

my name is Daniela. I'm seventeen years old, being born January 6, 2009. I have been learning English for fifteen years, and ever since I have found it as an amazing tool to discover new interests and cultures across barriers. I currently study in an international school, which means I learn all my material in English

As a teacher, I would like to help my students grow their interest
in English and reach a level where they find theirselves comfortable speaking the language. I know learning languages is really tricky, but it can be easier with the right approach.

I have never tutored before, but I already have a few ideas in mind on how to work in my students. An ideal class for me would be

- Spending the first ten minutes talking about the student's news and how they're doing at school. I also consider mental health really important and I would love to be a support figure for my student. During these ten minutes, I could help the student figure out vocabulary words they don't know, keeping a "Vocabulary notebook" for new words learnt in the class.

- After the icebreaking session, we would work on the material the student is learning in class. I would like to recieve it in advance so I can work on a mind-map or explanation for the student to understand the concept step-by-step.

- If we have time, I would look for listening, reading and writing exercises based on the student's level (A1, A2...) so we can work on it together

- To finish, I would reserve 5 minutes so my student can tell me how they feel about the class and what we can change to improve. I will also recommend material in English (books, series...) for the student to engage with in their free time

I love teaching English to others, and I will try to make the classes easier and not very heavy. I have studied English in school for a long time, and I have found that English lessons at school are heavily grammar-focused and not very intuitive. I would love my classes to be fun, interactive and entretaining, so my student can associate the language with something fun and comforting, not just a boring subject to study.
