Hi, I'm Lauren and I believe we are all meant to thrive, not just survive. My private yoga classes are designed to support you to live your best life.

I can help you if:

My approach is a very holistic one. We'll look at your current situation and discuss what you would like to change in your mental, physical or emotional state. Depending on your needs, we will be using different tools such as yin/restorative yoga - hatha, vinyasa & asthanga inspired yoga - meditation - pranayama/breathwork - human design (energetics) - yoga therapy - yoga nidra (yogic sleep).

I worked as a trainer and private yoga instructor in New York City, and I can guide you through Hatha and Vinyasa-style classes based on what you need or what you want to know.

My classes are energetic, rejuvenating, and serene, but they are ultimately focused on connecting your mind with your body through an awareness of your breathing and the strength in your own body.

YOGA for everybody, learning to know your alignment and conscience of your body and mind with technical, timer and sequence. It combines postures (asanas), breath control (pranayama) and the use of props (blankets, chairs, blocks and straps). It aims to develop strength, mobility and stability.

With private yoga lessons, you will receive personalized instruction based on your body type. I will carefully prepare a class that meets your personal needs. Private yoga instruction can help you improve the basics and expand your yoga practice. People of all ages are welcome to practice yoga, with no need for previous experience.

Classes can take place at your home or at mine in Leuven. Group classes are possible (5 € extra per person). In the first class, we can talk about your intention, background, and experience in yoga. From this, we can adopt a series of sessions that suit your personal needs and your preferred yoga styled.

ABOUT CAMILA

I started yoga when I was a teenager. My mom suggested me to go with her to help me cope with stress. Since I went to my first vinyasa class (a dynamic yoga class), in 2007, I was completely hooked. After a few years, I also started Ashtanga classes, the modern form of Indian classical yoga. In 2018, I decided to take the opportunity to become a teacher and obtained my 200h vinyasa training . In 2019 I moved to Belgium, and apart from my daily work, I would like to share my yoga experience and learn from the students.

Welcome to a brief overview of my life as a dancer and yoga teacher!

I'm Alisson: contemporary dancer (college level) and psychology student (last year of university). I am living and teaching yoga for the last 5 years. For the last two years, I have been studying yoga more formally and intensively.
In addition, I am a person who loves poetry and that is why I cultivate and care about my spirit, my body and the life that surrounds me.

My approach is very personal, where I teach the student to feel a greater awareness of their body. I adapt yoga and stretching exercises to the need of my students' body and mind to find a comfortable balance.

I am 27 years old and I have been practicing yoga (through different classes but also a lot on my own) for 8 years.

I also regularly give initiation or improvement courses and coaching / fitness (postures, sequences, breathing, meditations).

My methodology is flexible and adaptable, depending on the level, needs and desires of the student (s). The goal for me is above all to combine work / progress and fun.

Decreasing group rate (max 3 people at my place), but we can also take the course at home or outside if the weather is nice!

A Yin yoga class usually consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body – the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. These areas are especially rich in connective tissues.Connective tissue responds best to a slow, steady load. If you gently stretch connective tissue by holding a yin pose for a long time, the body will respond by making them a little longer and stronger – which is exactly what you want.
Remember the principle of the exercise is to stress the tissue so the body will respond by strengthening it.

FOUR MAIN PRINCIPLES TO REMEMBER WHEN PRACTICING YIN YOGA
Find an appropriate edge: Move slowly and gently into the pose, and look for an appropriate amount of intensity, never stretch so far as to cause pain.
Stillness: consciously try to release into the pose, and to remain still, without shifting position.
Hold the position: begin by holding for 1-3 minutes gradually progressing to 5 minutes or more.
Come out of the pose gently and slowly.

Yoga for me is a means to connect more deeply with oneself and with life. It is a practice of self care and a method that supports life changes for more quality. Working with movement, breath, meditation it supports you at many levels: physical, emotional, energetic.

After a few yoga sessions you can already start to feel the benefits of being more relaxed which supports being more present and open to respond to what is taking place in your life. I am passionate about embodiment, connection between body-mind as a means of self expression, personal growth and connection to life force.

Apart from being a Yoga teacher (Sampoorna Yoga Institute – India, recognized by Yoga International Alliance, I am a certified life coach (with Center for Transformational Presence) and support women choosing to reconnect more with themselves and what make them feel alive, integration of emotions.

I have been teaching Yoga daily for the past 4 years.

My goal is to meet your expectations and offer you an enjoyable time at home, or in a group (as in a company).
We can choose together themes according to your abilities, need and desire so that I can guide you in the practice that is best for you.
