After many years spent in symphony and chamber orchestras, I decided to devote a part of my time to teaching and has been teaching for several years in conservatories, schools of music and in the private sector. Course description: Modular courses according to the expectations and level of each student (fun and uninhibited approach or very demanding training in the greatest tradition of Russian and international education). For novices / beginners: it is imperative to start on a good basis, by acquiring from the start the reflexes to quickly produce a beautiful sound and have fun to master this beautiful instrument. Classes can be combined with learning music theory. For intermediate to advanced levels as well as for conservatoire students: I can bring you a methodology and advice on technical and musical plans, help you expand your repertoire, prepare you for concerts or auditions. These courses can be given in parallel to the teaching of a senior teacher. Location: I'm traveling in Geneva and its surroundings. The courses may, therefore, be held at your home or any other place of your choice or at my home in Versoix. The first lesson / meeting is an opportunity to establish a contact, to talk about your goals and expectations, to explain my work method as well as to discuss a lesson plan. This will allow you to make an informed decision later on. The schedules are flexible according to the expectations and the possibilities of the pupil. Hello! My name is Theresa and I am a cellist from Vienna. I've been playing the cello for over 16 years and I'm always happy to share my passion and joy in music with others. A healthy approach (both physical and mental) to the instrument is the most important thing for me, be it at home while practicing or in lessons and performance situations. My name is Natalie and I am 21 - dynamic and ambitious teacher. The courses are combined with the development of a student's technical level, as well as its cultural enrichment. I would love to share the magic of music with anyone interested. The cello is an instrument with many possibilities. I have experience with students of all ages. I studied in the cello class of prof. Stefan Popov - 'Chavalier du Cello', who studied in the class of Mstislav Rostropovich - the world-renowned cellist of the 20th century. I graduated from the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève - Bachelor of Arts. I am the founder and artistic director of Popov International Cello Festival. I am a very motivated person. I am a cellist, Portuguese, and passionate about music and teaching! I teach in French, Portuguese, Spanish, English and German. In my classes, the focus is on the student and their individual needs. The main goal is to nurture the musicality of the student through a positive atmosphere of work and regularity. Hey! My name is Luke and I'm a cellist currently finishing up my junior year at Interlochen center for the arts. I have been playing cello for 15 years (basically my whole life) and have attended multiple music institutes in my career- including Juilliard, Boston University Tanglewood Institute, and San Fransisco Conservatory of Music. I have also performed in many great venues with great orchestras including Alice-Tully Hall as principal cellist of the ISO 3rd street's symphony orchestra, and David Geffin Hall side by side with members of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. My hobbies and interests include... well... music :) I have been an informal teacher/tutor for around 2 years now, and I teach students of all ages and all levels. I have taught private lessons with kids of all ages and was also an assistant music instructor for a semester at the French American School of Boca Raton. I use many different methodologies which I tailor to the goals of the student. For example, if a student is looking to improve technique, I would use Schroeder, Popper, Piatti... etude books... and tailor the exercises to the student's ability. However, if a student is simply preparing for an audition or recital of some sort perhaps a specific method is not necessary, and all they require is a practice coach. If a student is closer to the beginning of their cello journey and is unsure of their next steps, I find the Suzuki method to be the most straightforward and effective.

I offer private cello lessons for all ages and levels. I adapt my lessons to each student taking into consideration their personality and personal desires. I can teach in French, English and Spanish. I am currently teaching at the Conservatory of Music in Geneva within the MusicEnsemble project, which is inspired by "Sistema" in Venezuela, from which I myself am trained. I am passionate about teaching and it has grown throughout my training. Teaching is an area that satisfies me and I am happy when I can offer my help to others by sharing my knowledge and experience.

Hello to everyone! My name is María, I am a Venezuelan Cellist. All my musical education was inside the musical program "El Sistema" in Venezuela. This education was based on preparing myself as a better human being though playing cello in orchestras, chamber music and as soloist. I am current studying my Master degree at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel with Jeroen Reuling. In what consist my lessons? Cello classes for all levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced), it does not matter if you have never played cello before or if you are already studying, the important thing is to help you achieve the goals you want with this beautiful instrument. To have better results with practice, if it is necessary to help you with music theory, I will help you. As well, if you're looking for help in orchestral excerpts for auditions, I'm here for you! For kids, parental support is also important during some lesson, we are all a team and we need to work together to achieve the goals! Hi my name is Osian and I’m a cellist from South Wales. I’ve taught children of many ages and standards and I really feel privileged to be a part of someone’s musical and personal development. Music lessons can be a way of reaching the concert platform or it could be a way of expressing yourself and being creative, wether it’s a career path or not. I grew up playing and singing where my first priority was to fall in love with music and learn to perform it to the best standard that I could do and that’s what I’d like to encourage my students to aim for too. I’m a BMus Hons Scholar from The Royal Academy of Music and I’m not studying at a masters lever at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

Hi everyone! My name is Ilona. I am a professional cellist and a cello teacher with a Master’s degree. My teaching experience is more than 11 years, with 3 years experience of online teaching. Online learning how to play cello is completely acceptable for all levels and ages from 8 years old.  Either you are a Zero Beginner or you are preparing to pass entry exam to conservatory - I will explain you how to practice to become more effective on cello. My current students range in age from 8 to 51 years old and come from all over the world. I always work for results, so our lessons may be longer than an hour at times simply because we haven't completed the lesson plan (with no extra pay). Before you begin learning the cello with me, you should understand two important concepts: when you play the cello, you use your body (arms, fingers) to create sound, and you use your soul and emotions to create music. We'll start by learning how to make sounds, which you'll later use to express your emotions.
