I have a vast knowledge of phonics and have access to a scheme of work that has been effective in supporting my students to pass their phonics screening at at 98%. I have completed phonics screenings for KS1 and understand the exam structure and requirements.I follow a mastery approach to maths learning. Reading comprehensions and grammar will be taught according to what is required for each year group and finally with a focus on spelling, punctuation and grammar practise papers as will be completed during SATs. I cover a variety of comprehension style questions that are inline with SATs and will cover all the skills required including word meaning, retrieval and inference questions across non fiction, fiction and poetry examples.
