My passion for learning has led me to take Pre-U courses in English and history, instead of the ordinary A Level syllabus. This means that my courses include much more independent study, including an extended personal dissertation in each on a subject of my choice. It greatly improved my research, time management and referencing skills. As the Politics Prefect at James Allen's Girls' School, I work closely with the politics department to edit and update the syllabus for politics and citizenship lessons in years 7-9 and promote taking the subject at A Level. Furthermore, as the mental health first aid leader, I teach the younger students a set course and assess their abilities to become an official first aider. I use my excellent time-management skills to organise the lessons, presenting skills to teach to content and administration skills to update the school board with the progress of the project. As a Holocaust Memorial Ambassador, I organise assemblies and resources within school to educate younger students, and coordinated with various individuals within the trust to put on an evening fund-raiser including a survivor testimony.

I have over 4 years of experience in teaching and tutoring English as a second language. I am currently a PhD researcher at King’s College London and run this tutoring business on the side, as I enjoy motivating students to learn new skills and overcome challenges.

I have studied English language and literature for all of my academic life and being multi-lingual (Fluent in Dutch and Sinhala), I understand how difficult it is to learn a language as a complete beginner. I am an empathetic and understanding teacher, but I also know how to push your limits and show you what you are capable of.

I will assign some, flexible homework for out of class, but most of the content will be addressed in the lesson. I am available to teach all levels of English or aid in English literature, but please message me for more information!

Hello everyone,

I am a 22 years old Belgian Female who recently moved in London in order to pursue my law studies. I completed my bachelor at the University College Maastricht in the Netherlands, and have acquired a lot of tutoring experience over the past three years. Indeed, alongside my studies, I have always dedicated some of my time to tutor French/English/Dutch lessons to people of all ages.

My lessons are taught in a way as to encourage my students to live the language they want to learn. I give considerable importance to improving one's verbal abilities, and my lessons are structured as follows:
