I am an experienced university educated teacher from the UK with many years teaching experience. I teach full time during the week and offer courses to children aged 6 to 16 on Saturday mornings and early afternoons at my place. Parents and guardians may sit in attendance during the lesson.

I offer my services to help your children achieve their academic goals, whether it is for the little ones who are discovering reading and writing, or for teenagers in the middle of preparing for exams. I also have experience with university students who needed a helping hand in certain subjects. Patient and attentive, I adapt to the specific needs of each student, offering them personalized support to help them progress at their own pace and with confidence. In terms of education, I followed a Preparatory Class for the Grandes Écoles in France (literature, philosophy, history, geography and languages), and obtained a bachelor's degree in English Language, Literature and Civilization. I then continued with a master's degree in British and American translation and civilization. I had the chance to work for two years at the Lycée Français Jean Monnet in Brussels, where I acquired solid experience with students of all ages and a good understanding of the expectations of the school system. My name is Guy, and I am a Brit/Belgian currently living near Mérode in Etterbeek, Brussels. I can offer beginner/intermediate/advanced classes, conversation classes, and can help students pass their English language exams. I am happy to do it online, at your place, or at my place. It's never too soon or late to learn or improve your English skills which is why I'm available for all age ranges. I will be available as of 25 February 2025 to give lessons to you or your children. I have taught English before to Italian and Belgian children (aged 7-12) which has vastly improved their writing and oral skills at school. Some were complete beginners, some had trouble with pronunciation, and were always grateful for the help I gave them. A little bit about myself: I am 31 years old, bilingual (English and French), speak Italian, some Dutch, and I'm currently studying Slovenian at the ULB in Brussels. I play a bit of saxophone too!
