Course of Sevillanas / Flamenco for beginners taught in English

Translated by Google. Click to view original.
Sevillanas is the folkloric and most popular dance of Spain. It's a dance specially danced in couples, which you can also learn individually. Sevillanas combine a lot of flamenco steps with an special rhythm. The classes will be divided in 3 parts: warming up the feet and hands, learning little by little the main steps addapting to the different levels, and putting it in practice both individually and grupally. The studio for the classes is still to be confirmed and it will depend on the students.

    About Me

Hello I’m Marco and I’m 23 years old. I’m from Spain and I’ve been living in Antwerp for already 3 years. I’m offering classes in Contemporary dance since I graduated last year in the Royal conservatory of Antwerp; Sevillanas classes, the most folcloric dance of Spain due to my 7 years of experience on this field and Spanish classes, after my experience working with children teaching English classes in Spain I realized how beautiful and interesting is to learn a new language, specially my mother tongue. I’m a responsible person who takes work really serious always finding ways to make it smoother and easier for the students, adapting myself to the different levels and trying to bring them a healthy and safe space to work.

    Education

-Bachelor in Contemporary Dance at the Royal conservatory of Antwerp.
-Economic Baccalaureate at Angel Ganvivet High School in Granada.
-Contemporary Dance at Conservatory “Reina Sofia” Granada.

    Experience / Qualifications

I’ve been teaching contemporary dance classes over the last two years while I was getting my degree as well as Sevillanas classes for people who wanted to know the culture of Spain through dance. During my staying in Belgium I’ve been helping people to improve their Spanish and teaching lenguage classes has made me realize the importance of it for all the ages.
Depending on the level of the student, and what they want to achieve in the classes. I would provide grammar and vocabulary lessons as well as listening and speaking practice in three different levels focusing on comprehension and expression both oral and written, adapting myself to the different learning rhythms.
