Essays vormen de ruggengraat van elke sociaal- of geesteswetenschappelijke opleiding. Toch weten veel studenten niet hoe je een goed essay moet schrijven. In deze cursus leer ik je ijzersterke essays schrijven - of het nu over filosofie, rechten, politicologie, internationale betrekkingen of economische wetenschappen gaat. Als doctoraatsonderzoeker aan de Universiteit van Edinburgh ontwikkelde ik een vierdelige cursus over de kunst van het essayschrijven. In slechts vier sessies leer ik je hoe je: 1) gedegen en onafhankelijk onderzoek moet doen 2) je ideeën het best kan structureren 3) een coherent en zelfstandig argument ontwikkelt 4) goede introducties en conclusies schrijft Ik ben ook beschikbaar voor ondersteuning bij scripties. // Essays are the cornerstone of any Social Science or Humanities degree, but very few students know how to write a good essay. In this course, I will teach you how to consistently write high-quality essays about any topic within the Social Sciences or Humanities. During my time as a PhD researcher at the University of Edinburgh, I taught on a variety of courses and developed a purpose-made, four-part course on the basics of essay writing. In just four 1-hour sessions, I will teach you how to: 1) do independent research 2) structure your ideas 3) build a coherent and independent argument 4) produce engaging introductions and conclusions I am also available as a thesis councillor.
