Learning Chinese from a non-native speaker definitely has its advantages. After all, I have learned it myself as a young adult and know exactly what the stumbling blocks and difficulties are. After having lived in China for 14 years, first as a scholarship student and later working in the business world and the cultural sector, I still enjoy going back to China as often as possible. In the meantime, I have more than 20 years of experience teaching at all ages and at all levels, and I have developed flexible methods to optimally teach both spoken and written Chinese. Experience with private lessons for toddlers, primary and secondary school children, professionals from different fields, as well as with all ages, motivations and levels in adult education in Kortrijk, Antwerp, Bruges and Ghent. What my students most often give as feedback is that learning Chinese is really fun and fascinating, and that my enthusiasm and passion for this beautiful language and Chinese writing is very contagious.
