About Me
My name is Ivar and I am a professional double bass player. My personal playing and teaching philosophy is based on a good understanding of the basic principles of instrumental technique, which allows me to fully express my musical ideas.
In my teaching, I aim to provide students with a toolbox that will enable them to further explore and develop their own musicality. I do not believe in strict and formulaic approaches, but rather want to help students discover their own musicality, taking into account their desires and musical strengths. Through this process I can help develop a solid foundation upon which the student can build their own personal virtuosity.
