Als ervaren docent Engels heb ik op veel verschillende scholen gewerkt in en rondom Purmerend. Zo heb ik gewerkt op het Da Vinci, Gerrit Rietveld en het Nelson Mandela. Ik heb een ontzettende passie voor lesgeven en ga altijd met plezier naar mijn werk.
Ik ben bekend met de methodes waar de middelbare scholen mee werken en hoe er getest wordt. Ik heb tevens drie jaar in China gewoond en daar met veel plezier Engels gegeven aan volwassenen.
Ik ben erg flexibel in mijn lesmethodes en haak goed in op wat de leerling nodig heeft.
Afwisseling is ook belangrijk, in plaats van alleen maar grammatica te oefenen is het ook van belang om bijvoorbeeld begrijpend lezen en luisteren te oefenen. Elke les is anders.
Ik hoop van u te horen en mijn passie voor Engels te delen.

1. What is the TOEIC?

The TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) is a language test developed by the Educational Testing Service (Princeton, USA). It measures/demonstrates the language skills that everyone in today's multinational work environment needs to communicate successfully in a foreign language.

2. Who uses the TOEIC?

The TOEIC test is one of the most widely used English-language tests in the world, with more than 14,000 organizations and universities in more than 160 countries relying on TOEIC scores to make important decisions.

3. What is the TOEIC used for?

The TOEIC is used to help organisations to:
• Select, hire, and/or promote their employees based on their level of English
• Select employees with adequate English language skills to participate in English language programs or training.
• Standardize the level of English language proficiency within the company.
Universities and other higher education institutions use this test to:
• Accept prospective students into their English-speaking undergraduate and graduate programs
• Measure their students’ progress
• Issue an internationally recognized English language certificate to their students.

4. How can I help you?

• I will evaluate your English proficiency level
• I will introduce you to the format and structure of the test: remember, knowing the type of tasks is half the battle!
• I will provide you with a lot of exercises and materials, and we will practice a lot
• Depending on your needs, we can focus on the Listening and Reading Test, the Speaking and Writing Tests, or both
• During the preparation, if you get to an area that is going harder, then we will do more exercises related to it or them (grammar, pronunciation, listening comprehension).
