About Me

I am a passionate and experienced university professor and researcher who has been working in the field of philosophy and comparative literature—particularly Italian and French—for over twenty years.

I hold two PhDs, one in Modern and Contemporary Philosophy and the other in Romance Studies (Comparative Literature). My research interests and written work also extend to literary and film criticism, and my interdisciplinary approach aims to bring different fields of knowledge together in a fruitful way.

I have extensive teaching experience (over 10 years). I would like to offer my professional expertise by providing tutoring in philosophy, Italian, French (FLE), Latin, and Ancient Greek at all levels. My teaching techniques allow me to develop dynamic and creative teaching projects that always place the student at the center of the learning process, trying to stimulate their interest through challenging but also enjoyable activities.

My name is Giorgia.
I hold a PhD in Italian from the Department of Romance Studies at UNC-University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I also hold a Ph.D. in Contemporary Philosophy focusing on Italian and French Aesthetics. I worked for fifteen years as a translator from French into Italian.

My academic research is interdisciplinary and combines literary criticism and philosophy. My research interests include the relationship between contemporary Italian and French literature, the Italian and French avant-garde movements in literature and film, and the interactions between literature, philosophy, the arts, and film.

For seven years, I have taught Italian at the elementary, intermediate, and advanced levels, and also taught a course on Italian cinema. My name is Giorgia. I offer private lessons in Latin and Greek to those who want to improve their translation skills in classical languages.

I have been dedicated to translating classical languages for over 25 years and offering private lessons for over 20 years.
I have extensive experience in classical languages and literature. In fact, I attended the "liceo classico" in Italy, a country whose centuries-old philological tradition requires students on this course to acquire a solid competence in translation from Latin and Greek, as well as a broad knowledge of classical literature, by devoting nine hours a week to the study of classical languages, for the entire duration of the five-year course.
I began teaching classical languages during my university years, while also studying other humanistic disciplines, such as philosophy and literature. In fact, I hold an Italian doctorate in philosophy and am currently completing an American PhD in comparative literature. I have never stopped offering private lessons in Latin and Greek.

My translation method, tested over twenty years of experience which have confirmed its effectiveness, aims to enable students to acquire mastery of a rigorous translation technique based on the recognition of the quasi-scientific "accuracy" of classical languages and which, once acquired, limits the possibility of making translation errors to almost zero.

This technique is based on respect for the syntactic structure of Greek and Latin sentences and on a careful examination of the arrangement of the linguistic elements which constitute them.

By teaching mastery of the different stages of analysis of the Latin and/or Greek sentence, the translation technique that I propose allows the student to:

- speed up translation time
- limit concerns related to the apparent incomprehensibility of classical texts
- strengthen knowledge of Latin and/or Greek grammar
- acquire the correct method of searching for words in the dictionary
- benefit from increasing familiarity in constructing the general meaning of the text to be translated
- broaden one's knowledge of the classical cultures which are the basis of our humanist culture.

This technique is aimed at all students who wish to master translation, also to succeed in the Latin and Greek exams for the Agrégation and CAPES competitions in Modern and Classical Literature, and at those who wish to cultivate this study in order to better understand our humanist culture which has its roots in classical literature.

It is true that the philosopher is the friend of wisdom, but above all, he is someone who does not want to make mistakes in reasoning. Philosophizing is a way of reasoning and a way of solving problems that will never have a perfect and definitive solution. Knowing the distance between the Earth and the Moon is not a problem of philosophy, because it is enough to measure to solve it. On the other hand, knowing, for example, what justice is, is a problem of philosophy. A meter will not be able to help us know the answer. Philosophy and Latin classes for high school students. Since these subjects are often new to students, it can be difficult to become familiar with them, their concepts, and their content. In Philosophy, we approach them from the ground up, using examples that help students understand the philosophical concerns of major theoretical systems and their authors, as well as the current philosophical landscape. Classes focus both on acquiring the subject matter and on the best methodology according to the context and requirements set by the student's homeroom teacher to ensure the best possible outcome for achieving a good result in high school, given its importance for accessing subsequent academic levels.

I am almost certain from the beginning that this question is incorrect, and on the other hand, I add with conviction that the wording of this question is wrong, since the complexity that surrounds this title, or rather the motives that lie behind the curtain, makes it difficult to fathom its depths easily.

At first glance, this article (inquiry or question) seems naive, like a question born of a little girl's innocence to her mother, like a spiritual breath that should be distributed fairly without being touched. But in reality, it is a mischievous question surrounded by many barriers, which are made by man himself. Therefore, it can be said that it seeks solutions to problems caused by the ignorance of superstitions, fanaticism, deviation, extremism, straying from the truth, evils, slipping into the abyss of religions, and so on. As for the penultimate point, it is a copy of the action and theorizing of the first suspect, as is the case since religion (its basic pillar) generally has a clear, sound, and logical goal, and its branches, most of which lie in organizing social life and contributing to its improvement, from the mothers of morality and settling disputes, inheritance, marriage, love, and enjoining good... some of which have been brought and others left for what has been revealed to us in a clear indication to us to complete the path in the best way. And here is the crux of the matter: this (thing) that is given that is likely to make peace or against it? To create conditions and means for making peace or breaking it? To decide on it or to deviate from it? So what is the matter of this peace that everyone loves morally and practically in spreading without end or limit and is not enabled! Now, when one considers the aesthetic and fundamental aspects of peace, its point of intersection becomes clear: humanity. Ironically, the very means by which it undermines the right path is the same means by which it poses questions that supposedly underpin the ultimate goal of peace—such as, "Can we live without violence... without conflict... without animosity... without hatred... etc."—without addressing the necessary justice and reality.
