Sociology (For Beginners or GCSE / A-Levels Students)

I am a Doctor of Psychology and researcher. Since October 2016 I have been successfully tutoring many B.A. and M.A. and Ph.D. level students and professionals who required help with Psychology (AS, A-level, and Degree level), Data analysis, SPSS, jamovi, JASP, R, Statistics, Research Methods, or were looking for assistance with their research projects/ theses/ dissertations. I am specialised in Clinical Psychology (reading disability/ dyslexia), although I have good knowledge in other fields of psychology, as well as research methodology and data analysis (expert in SPSS). I would love to help students with the knowledge I have in individual live one-to-one sessions online via Skype/Zoom. I can also recommend literature on a particular subject and send something I already have in my database.

If you need help with any Psychology or Chemistry, this is the class for you. I have other areas of knowledge, such as Mathematics and Physics, so just ask and I may be able to tutor you in those areas too. This is only for students at A-level or below. Furthermore, this is not a counselling service, I can teach you about Psychology, but I am not qualified to assist with any psychological issues that you may have.

In these sessions I will help you to gain a better understanding of the content you are learning, as well as, help you to understand your assignment topics and how best to answer them by aiding you in building your critical thinking and essay writing abilities so that you can achieve the best possible results. I also provide proofreading and study skills.

In The Public Speaking class you will learn how to communicate well and correctly, you will also become more confident in speaking in front of the public, be able to deliver presentations well, and also become more courageous in delivering verbal messages. Psychology is a subject classed as a fundamental social science of the brain. It is used to develop our cognitive, behavioural and social aspects as humans. Our whole world can be viewed through the eyes of psychology which is why I'm extremely passionate to tutor psychology and encourage others to share the same passion. I have studied psychology A level for two years and received a high pass grade at a well renowned college in Manchester, United Kingdom. I have achieved a high 2:1 grade in a Bachelor's of science degree (with honours) in Educational psychology at Manchester Metropolitan University. My tutoring course will include help with GCSE or A level basic psychology and exam technique used to help pass exams and mocks with a High pass (A*-C). I can cover biopsychology, cognitive psychology, behavioural, procedural and social. I also will cover the main studies and psychologists needed to be studied and implemented in to exams such as Freud and Bowlby etc. I have many recourses approved by major exam boards such as AQA and Edexcel and will cover main topics that are likely to come up in exams.

I am currently completing a Master of Arts in Philosophy. My areas of specialization include ancient philosophy, early modern philosophy, and phenomenology. Stories are as old as we are, but if you want to put a story on paper or portray a story, it turns out to be more difficult than talking to your friends. How about now? Not what you tell, but HOW you tell it is the most important. The basics and how to use psychology to write a story, this is what you will learn anyway. Those who want to continue afterwards will learn how to write a script. Fiction or facts, you decide what you want to learn.

I am eager to help young people feel confident when writing sociology essays. I will place an emphasis on deconstructing the questions students are given by encouraging them to reword the question to offer a different perspective on it. In addition, the main aim of a sociology essay is to convince the reader more and more of the argument you have claimed in the introduction. I want to help students do this by helping them follow the PEAL structure, i.e. Point, Evidence, Analysis, Link back to question. I have found this a very effective and coherent way of structuring an essay. I have studied Sociology for 7 years now, at AS/A Level, Undergraduate Level and now at MSc level at LSE. I was awarded First-Class Honours in my undergraduate as well as 'Best Dissertation of the year' by the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. I am seeking a potential career in academia so I truly feel passionate about engaging with the lesson plans on this platform and helping students feel confident in their essay writing.
