History is the vector that allows us to better understand our society, the world in which we live. It is essential for general culture. The level of the course will adapt to the level of the student, from primary to university. It is also possible to adapt it in relation to an exam or competition to be taken, or to a person wishing to complete their general knowledge on a particular subject.

In my third year of the history faculty at the Jean Moulin Lyon III University, I plan to enroll in a master's degree in medieval history. I want to write a research paper on the French and the Mongols in the 13th century. I would like to go on to write a thesis on the theme of Mongol incursions into Japan (1274 and 1281). The sessions will aim to deepen or discover concepts about a period. I am comfortable with the era: medieval (especially from the 12th-13th century), modern (it all depends on the region and the century) as well as prehistory. I am able to establish a progression curve, as well as adapt the lessons according to the need or simply in relation to the expectations of the student. If necessary, repetitions and accentuations on knowledge can take place. Since I am not yet at the apotheosis of my studies, I will only offer these services to beginners or students (up to high school or first year of history school at the "maximum"). I can also offer help for tests related to the history dissertation or text commentaries, very famous and predominant exercises in studies in the history faculty.

I offer general history courses tailored to the needs of students, from middle school to master's level. The sessions aim to develop both an understanding of major periods and historical issues, as well as the ability to critically analyze sources and events. Depending on the level, courses may focus on reviewing chronological bases, preparing for exams (maturité, baccalauréat, mid-terms), in-depth thematic study (social, political, cultural, international history), or even support for research and writing academic papers. The teaching methods are interactive and personalized: contextualizing key concepts, explaining documents, synthesis exercises, and dissertation practice. The objective is to give students solid tools to understand the issues of the past and develop critical thinking skills that are useful both in their studies and in their daily lives.

Let's discover the origins and evolution of Greek and European culture! We will study the following themes: the myth of Europe, the history of ancient Greece, Greek and Roman culture, the Middle Ages and Byzantium, the Renaissance, the Ottoman occupation, Christianity and religions in Europe, the Europe of contradictions: Science or Magic, the Enlightenment, the Greek Revolution and the influences of the French Revolution, the Europe of Nations, the European Union. Lessons are structured around presentations, the use of texts, maps and other historical sources, questions that fuel discussions, exercises and analyses.

History is a discipline that deals with the systematic study of the past, both at a concrete level (regional, period-specific) and at a more general level (as a historical process, encompassing long periods of time). History is crucial for understanding the world we live in, as well as the historical events and processes that most influence us today. In history courses, you'll learn about various periods in history, but we'll also specialize in practical cases that help us understand periods in the past.

History is a subject often considered uninteresting. But I try to design my course according to your needs, your difficulties and even facilities in order to create a course in which you will flourish. Also, I am a student in History and therefore I can help you with the methodology and recommend several books to deepen your subjects. The course will be divided according to the periods: First, Ancient Rome, from Romulus to the death of Nero where we will study the different aspects of Roman life and its politics. We will also study Ancient Greece, also considered the cradle of history with its mythology, daily life and the wars that marked it. The Middle Ages will be studied from the fall of the Western Roman Empire in 476. We will go through Clovis, religion but also royalty. Then, we will study the modern era with plague epidemics, life under the old Regime and the different kings as well as their life at court without forgetting the wars of religion and absolutist reigns as well as the History of the English Revolutions . Finally, the contemporary era (where I am most comfortable), where we will study the Catholic Church, the working world but also the global aspects of this period. We will also focus on the two world wars with the civilian impacts they had. If you want a course on the HGGSP, we will follow the program according to the pace you study in class. I would also like to train you orally, by doing some courses, by teaching you to master a PowerPoint and finally by teaching you the methodology of the dissertation, the presentation, the text commentary and finally the bibliography.

Knowing American history is critically important—and an essential part of that history is the story of the diverse people who make up America. This course focuses on the Black American perspective of U.S. history—also known as African American, Black American, or simply Black history. In this class, we will explore five major eras of American history: 1. Slavery and Reconstruction 2. The Jim Crow Era 3. The Civil Rights Era and the Black Power Movement 4. The 1980s and 1990s 5. President Obama’s Presidency to the Present Throughout these eras, we will cover key topics such as the transatlantic slave trade, the Harlem Renaissance during the Roaring Twenties, the Red Summer and the many race riots and massacres during the Jim Crow era, segregation and the fight for civil rights, and more recent events like the Obama presidency and the 2020 pandemic. This course will help students not only understand American history, but specifically from a Black perspective, while also examining how that history shapes current events and the future.
