About Me

Hello everyone, and salam alaykum to fellow Muslims! My name is Safia, I now live in Algiers, but I spent my most formative and... awkward years in the UK. In London, I slowly blossomed from wide-eyed child to gawking teenager, an elegant process I am sure a few of you know a thing or two about first-hand.

The gawking teenager is long-gone now, and has been replaced by a mature, sedate adult with many responsibilities and no sense of humour. I studied Anglophone Civilisations and Literature in university, taught English in various schools and then from home, and dabbled in everything from theatre and comics to French patisserie and ice-cream making.
