This class is mainly tailored to the interests of the student. We usually cover basic programming concepts and tools and immediately learn to apply them on fun projects. For advanced students it is also possible to cover more complex topics from statistics, data analysis and data visualisation.

My tutoring style is very practical. For English, I base my lessons on conversations so that the students can practically apply what they learned. In Statistics and Programming, the lessons mostly evolve around small practical projects that target a specific concept or skills. I also try to make the lessons as fun as possible and accommodate them to what students enjoy.

Education

I am currently finishing my bachelor's degree at the University of Groningen. In my degree, I mainly focus on statistics and data analysis for social sciences and biomedicine. However, I also completed several university level mathematics and programming courses. My whole degree is in english which means I have years of experience speaking, writing, and reading in English on a very high level.

I have a previous experience teaching both children and adults. I though English and French for more than a year both privately and in a language school. Similarly, I taught Statistics both privately and in a company for 2 years.

Python is one of the best, if not the best, language to start learning programming. It is also one of the most widely used languages today, especially in cutting-edge areas such as machine learning.

This popularity means that Python is constantly evolving. It offers a wide range of tools and libraries, which are free and very varied.

As an aeronautical engineer, I like to share my knowledge and derive satisfaction from it by teaching and motivating others.

I'm used to working with people of different ages. I believe in the importance of segmenting learning, visualizing progress, setting concrete goals and practicing regularly.
