About Me

Hi, I am Orí, a lute and guitar player from Israel, living in Switzerland. I have been performing with ensembles and as a soloist all over the world. I have been teaching lute and guitar for many years in many different levels. I put emphasis on self-directed learning, the student dictates what they want to learn and the pace that is comfortable for them. I'm there to support and give guidance. I have recently started a course in Gestalt-therapy, this is perhaps less relevant, but it is important for me, and I believe it helps me in my approach to teaching and music-making alike. looking forward to getting to know you.

Education

I have a Diploma in Historical Plucked Instruments from the Hochschule für Musik Trossingen, Germany, a Master in Medieval Music and Early Renaissance from the same Institute, as well as a master in Guitar and Lute from the ZHdK in Switzerland.

Guitar teaching in the music school in Konstanz Germand 2007-2009.
Guitar and Lute teaching in the music school in St. Gallen, Switzerland 2013-2015.
Private guitar and lute lessons from 2003 and counting.

Learn to play bassoon with fun, interest and entertainment.you will learn to play from a good technical base of air and good sound.
Lessons are based in the technique of air, working in breathing correctly.
We will learn also fingering technique from the base, in able to finally focus on music without technical problems and efforts

-Professional cello lessons for all ages! ; For anyone who wants to learn the cello or perfect their skills; Extensive experience with private students and summer school workshops; It is possible to give lessons online! Lessons in Spanish, Russian, German or English.

Have you left your flute for years hidden in the cupboard or would you simply like to change teachers? No matter for what reasons you want to take the flute, you are welcome. Together we will discover this instrument and the repertoire that you like and that you would like to play!

If you want to start making your own music, I will be happy to introduce you the basic functions and tools of Ableton live. You will learn how to record, sample and edit your sounds. Together we will work on your first compositions and on how to make them sound better and better.

I have a diploma of Advanced studies in Audio Design from Hochschule für Musik Basel, and I am an active musician and performer in fields of Electronic and contemporary music.

Class adapted for any motivated music lover. I am very happy to explore basics, techniques but also music styles with you. I love to work with improvisation tools and find imaginative way to learn, together with my students. But I am also happy to give more traditional lessons if this doesn't fit you.
