Soy fotógrafa desde hace más de cinco años. Empecé por curiosidad, fascinada por la posibilidad de atrapar lo invisible: una emoción, un gesto, una historia. Esa pasión me llevó a estudiar Comunicación Audiovisual y a formarme de manera autodidacta, siempre explorando nuevas formas de mirar.

Mi trabajo se mueve entre el retrato, la fotografía callejera, lo artístico y el paisaje. Me interesa lo íntimo, lo que no siempre se ve a simple vista. Mi estilo busca la emoción más que la perfección, y la esencia más que la pose.

He trabajado en bodas, ceremonias, recitales, cortos y videos corporativos. Pero lo que más disfruto es compartir esta mirada con otros: enseñar a usar la cámara como una herramienta para descubrirse, para conectar con lo que nos rodea y contar historias que realmente importan.

I am an experienced photographer, as I have been working as a professional in a studio for several years and now I am a freelancer. I hold a MFA in Fine Arts Photography, but I am a multidisciplinary person with several different knowledge areas I touch upon - from Mathematics and Computer Science, to languages.

During my course, you can learn:

- Basics of photography: exposure, how to color balance your film/sensor, moving and still subjects and other topics for a beginner!
- Lighting: studio flash, outdoor flash, how to mix natural&artificial light, digital workflow etc.

Since I can remember, I’ve had an interest in photography. My father is a professional photographer, and my mother an artist who always encouraged me to be creative and use my imagination.

One of my first memories as a toddler was seeing my father develop his photos. in the then seemingly mysterious and magical darkroom. I started asking him many questions about photography from a young age. My first camera, of the simple point-and-shoot variety, was an important formative gift, but also a slight disappointment. Being a “big girl” at four years old, I had hoped for a “real” (professional) camera.

From there on in my passion for photography grew. I’ve learnt various skills over the years, started with old film cameras, then proceeded to digital SLRs and editing techniques. I love photographing people, capturing natural moments, zooming into the hidden or small things, telling a story, sensing nuances and creating beautiful images for people to cherish for the rest of their lives.

I am a multidisciplinary artist and designer with fifteen years of experience. I studied art and architecture at the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the Columbia University in New York. I teach painting, drawing, digital image and creativity. This class is ideal for beginners but also intermediate students who want to develop their own style.

For my personal projects, I work in a wide range of mediums, from drawing, painting and printmaking to digital image and 3D Printing. When teaching, I prefer to first focus on free-hand drawing and painting as this allows for greater spontaneity regardless of the student's technical level. We later explore other methods based on the student's individual interests. I like to teach children and adults via mini projects involving art history references and help them develop narratives around their work. I deeply believe in people's creative potential and in my classes will help you channel your own voice.

Ik geloof dat iedereen kan tekenen. Het enige dat daarvoor nodig is, is gaan zitten, beginnen, en blijven oefenen. Ik heb mijzelf aangeleerd om gezichten/portretten te tekenen en daarom word ik erg enthousiast van het overbrengen van mijn creatieve proces aan anderen, zodat zij ook zelf aan de slag kunnen gaan met hetgeen zij willen creëren.

Mijn kunst en creatieve proces heb ik gedurende heel mijn leven ontwikkeld. Na opleidingen van drie verschillende kunstacademies, waaronder Willem de Kooning in Rotterdam, ben ik nu inmiddels 8 jaar fulltime werkzaam als kunstenaar. Ik maak mijn werken met acrylverf, maar teken en schets daarnaast nog steeds veel op papier. Mijn kunststijl is een mix van spontaan-realisme en abstract kleurgebruik, pop-art en comic style.

I am an artist and philosopher from Amsterdam currently living in Antwerp. I studied in London where I acquired a BA from Art Academy London and a BA in philosophy from St Mary's University London.

Artistic development starts by identifying your artistic interest. As artists, we don’t always know why we draw and paint the things that we do. Yet they are not random. What captivates us or draws us towards certain artworks? This might be the tonal way in which light reflects, structural forms or mathematical division. The point being, is that we all have such aesthetic interests and step 1 is finding out what interests you!

Step 2 is helping you express your interests through painting techniques, styles and materiality. But it all starts with you. What do you want to say? And how? I will help you do this through discussion, looking at your previous work (if you have any), introducing you to a LARGE variety of artists, potentially copying their styles. I adjust my classes according to your needs.

The goal is simple: to come to understand your artistic interest, help you find techniques to express them and develop your artistic language.

(Please note that just because you have found an artistic interest and a way to express it, it does not mean that you must do only one thing for the rest of your life. It is the downfall of creativity to repeat and paint the same way over and over again. Instead, allow your interests to drive your creativity. Let it be the starting point, venture out and discover it from various angles and ways of expressing it. But also be mindful that as we grow our interests can change and as they change, we must remain honest and respond accordingly such that our artistic language can also grow.)

Ik geef kunstgeschiedenis aan iedereen die wil, ongeacht leeftijd of niveau, online of bij mij thuis in Velp. Je kunt leren over onder andere de beeldende kunst, muziek en literatuur van de prehistorie t/m nu. Je kunt werken richting een examen/tentamen/opleiding of gewoon leren vanuit interesse. Of het nu gaat om de david van Michelangelo of de graffiti op de muren van Dubai, ik vertel je er graag over. Er is van alles mogelijk.

Ik ben opgeleid tot musicus/schrijver en docent. Ik heb al meer dan 10 jaar ervaring in het onderwijs en geef onder andere al een aantal jaar kunstgeschiedenis, muziekgeschiedenis, creatief schrijven en andere vakken aan de bovenbouw van een kleine middelbare school, waar ik ook teamlid ben. Ik schrijf lesmateriaal, dat op diverse scholen in het middelbare en hogere onderwijs gebruikt wordt. Ik heb veel ervaring met vernieuwend onderwijs en het één op één lesgeven.
