I teach a range of disciplines, including piano, guitar, vocals, songwriting, and music theory. Having taught students of all ages and different levels of musicianship, I am pleased to say that I have built long-lasting relationships with many of my students. With an emphasis on creativity and student input; my lessons allow students to discover their own playing style and musical direction. I strongly believe that people learn best when they enjoy what they’re doing, and I incorporate this into my teaching style. I strongly encourage my students to bring their own ideas and suggestions to the lessons; that way they can learn a piece of music that they really like. With a background in classical music, I underpin my lessons with useful technical exercises that encourage dexterity, time-keeping and fluency. Finally, I encourage all my students to learn at least the fundamentals of music theory and sight reading. This class is dedicated to all those who wish to calm the nervous system and work on rooting themselves in the present moment. Connecting with the body and its language. A combination of yoga and somatic techniques that help us understand how our body works and its relationship with the mind. The aim is toward maximum physicality in function and overall health as well as a state of relaxation and a stimulation of the body's energy centres and meridians that is revitalising and healing. The benefits of yoga also include gaining flexibility and working on breathing skills concentration, balance, endurance, muscular and vital strength, as well as strengthening the nervous system and immune system. The content and dynamics of the practices will be adapted to your experience, needs, age, and specific circumstances, seeking to gain the greatest possible benefit. I have experience working with and teaching beginners and people with little experience of physical work as well as children in the field of dance, acting movement, and yoga.

Developing an understanding and knowledge of music theory helps musicians at all levels to perform confidently and interpret the music with ease. In preparing for a music theory exam you grasp the fundamentals of rhythm, harmony and melody which is essential for good musicianship. If you're taking a Practical or Performance Grade 6, 7 or 8, you must pass Grade 5 or above in Music Theory before you book your exam to make sure that you have the understanding you need to interpret and perform music at these higher grades. My classes are for the beginner to intermediate level musicians and I will cover everything you need for music theory exams up to Grade 5 theory.

I’m an experienced guitarist and I can help those of all abilities and ages looking to learn the instrument or develops their skills. I’ve been playing for 16 years and I’m well versed in most genres and styles of music. Open to all stages of learning whether you want to focus on fundamentals and guitar theory or develop your own style and technique. I can support anyone looking to gain knowledge of harmony, chord melody, soloing, popular and unconventional song structure and style. Or if you want to learn other songs and build up your repertoire. My musical background is primarily as a jazz guitarist, specialising in improvisation and composition. This is something I can work on with students once core skills are acquired. I can also help get students get up to speed with their grade exams and offer musical theory support. Aside from my experience as a guitarist, I play in different bands as a Writer and composer. I have experience as a recording artist at Abbey Road studios and I can teach students about song writing and composition. I’m fluent on music softwares such as Logic Pro X and Ableton and offer Music Production and Recording technique classes at my own studio in Clapton East London. This class will be conversation based and depending on your English language level will introduce new vocabulary slowly (so it is accessible and memorable) or at a fast rate to increase fluency. We will focus on conversational English, but depending on the wish of the class can move over to looking at spelling, punctuation and grammar in formal written English.
