Présentation

Hello, my name is Alexandra and I have been teaching portuguese to foreigners since 2008. I have a degree in social communication with a postgraduate degree in markets and consumers and for about 12 years I worked in record labels in the area of promotion and marketing. But I wanted to travel, spend months, years, travelling so I decided to teach portuguese online. This way I could be in all world.
I regularly teach classes to members of the Canadian Ministry of Global Affairs in Ottawa and also to a professional language school in Chicago - "ELT, Executive Language Training". I also have several private students from different countries, professions and ages.
In my travels I did a lot of volunteer work. Since building bamboo houses, to treating abandoned dogs and cats in Indonesia and Thailand. I have performed in Bollywood films in India and taught English for children in Cambodia and Vietnam and I worked in receptions at hostels in several cities.
Always working with the locals. Each with their culture, with their language, with their religion. Unique and unforgettable experiences.
I am from Lisbon but I am currently living in Évora.

Over 12 years as Portuguese teacher for foreigners, freelancer in several sports and cultural magazines as journalist and photographer.

Portuguese teacher, graduated in Communication Sciences, offers Portuguese courses for all levels and different ages.
My goal is to make the student progress in his ability to communicate in Portuguese, in writing and orally, by adapting his needs and his pace of learning.

Foreign language classes for adults and children. Experienced tutor with advanced degree (master’s degree and bachelors degree) in foreign language: Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, French, English. My approach to language learning is acquiring the target language as one acquired their native language- immersion, conversation practice , reading, writing.
I am an experienced in interpretation and work as a medical/social/academic interpreter.
I also do translation work and have experience in tourism (tourist license for foreign language tours in the United States).
