I have nearly ten years of teaching experience in a wide variety of settings with a wide range of student ages, beginning with my work as a volunteer tutor early in high school and carrying on through my positions as an assistant conductor through the Peabody Preparatory and as a private academic tutor. I currently make all of my own bassoon reeds from tube cane, and I have been finishing my own reed blanks for nearly ten years. I am proficient in both the German and American styles of blank-making and reed-finishing; I am prepared to teach one or both styles to appropriately-leveled students as necessary and as requested.
