Tuition for Children & Young People with Special Educational Needs

This is a one-one, face-to-face tuition service for children with special educational needs. The tuition is customised to the needs of the child.

Subjects/activities include English, PSHE, maths, art, science, sports, games and more.

Sessions are fun and immersive, and they aim to engage children who contend various complex needs including, but not limited to; ASC, PDA, Dyslexia, PLMD, SEMH and depression. (Most children will have an EHC plan but some may not)

All materials provided by the Tutor. Note for Parents/Guardians, you can ask the SEND department at your Local Authority to commission me to work with your child, if they have an ECH plan and do not currently attend school and they will pay for the tuition service.

I am passionate about working with children and vulnerable young people with special educational needs, and committed to supporting them to succeed in re-engaging with learning, in addition to helping students to work toward achieving their EHC plan outcomes.

Erfahrung / Qualifikationen

As a SEN Tutor, I have over six years experience of working with students who have EHC Plans and cannot attend mainstream schools for a variety of reason that include but not limited to PDA, Depression, ADHD, Autism, Behavioural Problems (ABA), LAC, PMLD, SEMH, Weak Academic records and other SEN related issues. I have helped many children to re-engage with learning and re-integrate back into mainstream education.

GCSE Maths (Foundation Level, Grades 1-5) Year 9,10,11 Students

Sessions will cover the GCSE Maths (foundation level) working up to and including Grade 5.

With input, assistance and support, students will follow the format below for every session;

Learn - students will study concepts.
Practise - students will do review questions related to concept learned, to consolidate knowledge.
Apply - students will work through answering exam questions to learn how to apply the learned concepts
Review - students will review their answers and see where they made mistakes so that they do not repeat them

This is a tried and tested method that has helped most of my students jump up 1 to 3 grades from their current levels.
