I am a dance instructor with experience teaching ballet, tap, jazz, Scottish Highland, and ballroom dance. I do my best to tailor each class to fit your individual needs. Everyone comes to dance classes with specific motivations, reasons, goals. If you will communicate those goals with me, I will do my best to help them come to fruition.

I have been dancing myself since I was five years old and am now in my 30s. I have had experience teaching group and private lessons for many years now. I am a certified ballroom instructor with Arthur Murray. And I was privileged to be able to teach some social dance courses at Brigham Young University while I was a student there earning my bachelor's.

I am currently living in London and attending Goldsmiths University with the goal of getting a master's in Dance Movement Psychotherapy. I look forward to meeting you and sharing my great passion for dancing with you.

Classes, choreography and staging! in person or virtually

Are you going home and want to do something special? Let's do it together, whether it's a dance, a performance, or whatever you want—alone, with your partner, family, bridesmaids, or whoever you want. There are two options: I'll teach you how to dance the genre you're going to dance plus the choreography, or I'll just teach you the choreography. It's up to you.

The cost of creating choreographies depends on their duration (in addition to the cost of the class and/or rehearsal).

All ages and levels, don't wait any longer!

📌It doesn't always take two for things to work...
To begin to connect, assimilate and experiment with new KNOWLEDGE, the most IMPORTANT thing is the body, the attitude, perseverance and a great pinch of confidence!
I always like to approach the codes of different dance disciplines, based on structures that work on the physical, rhythmic, and creative aspects.
There is an idea that Tango is difficult to learn, and of course if we approach it with that label, it will be that way. Starting from the main concept of tango, WALKING, something that we all do most of the time, dancing tTANGO is within everyone's reach.🤗
Another very important point is the way to assimilate and understand it 😉😅
❤️‍🔥What will the classes be like, you ask?
I'll tell you a little bit, we are going to develop the structure in the work of weight changes, the step, projection of the walk, the pivot, understanding the kinesphere individually and as a couple translated into the hug, the turns and the spiral torso to understand the momentum in various exercises, the eights so famous in tango, the basic step and universal exit, walks with the concept of lanes and much more from various sequences that familiarize you with the technical needs to be able to perform the steps without leaving aside the dynamics, pulse, accent and compas of the tango. Everything will be raised in the background in a more organic way. It's not just about learning individual steps, and then...what do we do 🧐? It is not the form that should take the leading role, but the way in which you express that form.
We will also let your creative and playful side be part of the process, through a tool that I consider very valuable, which is improvisation 👌 since it allows you to find your own style and recognize your strengths and weaknesses to continue growing in your passion for dance.
With all these tools, entering the world of more complex sequences and why not, creating your own, will be one more step and not an impossible challenge to achieve.🤩
Don't forget that the steps that are known today and a large part of the sequences emerged from a restless and creative mind, which explored synonymous with IMPROVISE❗️
Let's go through the process together and hold each other in a hug.

What was Mikhail Barishnikov, Rudolf Nureyev, Natalia Osipova, and all the other Russian dancers’ secret to success? The one thing they all have in common is their training in the Russian ballet method of Vaganova. This professional method has been developed over the decades to become the most effective method in the world. The grandeur of the legendary Russian Bolshoi and Marinskii theatres speak for themselves. For this reason, I have gone to Russia to study for my bachelors in this method at the University of Moscow, and together with my collective experience in teaching ballet, am waiting to train you to become the next ballet legend.

WHAT DO CLASSES LOOK LIKE? Each lesson is 1 hour 30 minutes, the sweet spot between length of attention span, physical endurance span, and building stamina. Ballet classes are structured according to the Russian ballet method of Vaganova, and body conditioning classes include professionally developed exercises specifically for dancers. I customize lessons to work on what my students most need, and therefore weak spots are attended to until they are wiped out. Lessons are conducted online in the convenience of your own home, saving both time and transport costs.

WILL YOU BENEFIT FROM THESE LESSONS? My lessons are for you if you any one of the following scenarios describes your situation:

1) YOU DO NOT ATTEND ANY OTHER BALLET CLASSES - classes include a full syllabus, examinations are optional, and you can therefore attend my online lessons as your only source of ballet.

2) YOU ALREADY ATTEND OTHER BALLET LESSONS - I also offer the option for you to take these classes as a supplementary addition to classes at your studio in order to boost your scores in exams and competitions, and improve your technique, strength, allegro, and stability in pirouettes, balance, and pointe. This gives you the chance of becoming the new class hero, and enjoy the freedom of dancing without worrying about stamina, faulty technique, low leg height, weak allegro, and gruesome posture.

3) YOU ARE A DANCER, BUT YOU DO NOT DO BALLET - my body conditioning classes are beneficial for dancers of all genres. It teaches complete control over the body, promoting stability, strength, leg height, good balance and stamina.

WHAT LEVELS DO I TEACH? I currently teach beginner, intermediate and advanced levels (RAD levels would translate as all levels up to Advanced 2 and Solo Seal), for children from age 10+ and adults.

ABOUT DANÉ - I am an experienced ballet teacher and qualified balletmaster/choreographer who loves choreography, people and teaching. To make it more interesting, here is my experience starting now and going backward: I graduated my 4 year Bachelor's degree in "the art of the balletmaster" with summa cum laude at the university of Moscow in July 2024 where I was voted the best student of the institute by my lecturers. I began my studies in Moscow September 2020. I had 14 subjects including the Russian ballet method of Vaganova and several other dance styles, body conditioning for dancers, choreography, music and acting. During my studies I taught ballet and dancers' body conditioning and staged choreographies. Prior to this, I studied Russian for a year in Kazan, Russia (this is a requirement if you study choreography in Moscow). Before going to Russia I founded and directed my own ballet school in Johannesburg from 2017-2019, and staged 3 productions. During this time I trained with the Russian School of Ballet in South Africa, attained a distinction for my exam and took part in their production at the Roodepoort State Theatre. Before this I trained with the RAD with many distinctions up to Advanced 1, but changed to the Russian method just before taking my Advanced 2 exam (if you take classes with me you will understand why;)). Furthermore, I won multiple gold, A+ and special awards in festivals, eisteddfods and competitions, several of them including my own choreography. I was part of a theatre group from 2016-2017, where I performed the lead role in the Roodepoort State Theatre. I have done ballet since 2003, and was schooled in an American syllabus from grade 1 to graduation.

Also I stand for a positive approach in the educational process, because I am deeply convinced that this kind of attitude is one of the main keys to improvement.

I've been teaching ballet worldwide for over 10 years. My classes are based on Vaganova method, but I mix in Pilates, anatomy and biomechanics to help you truly understand how your body moves. We focus on smart technique, not just repeating steps. Sessions last 60 to 90 minutes depending on what you need. I work with adults of all levels - it's never too late to start your ballet journey!

With 25 years in ballet, I’ve lived and breathed this art form, and I never stop learning. My stage career was an incredible journey, but I discovered that my true passion lies in teaching. I’ve mentored over 400 students worldwide who value my eye for detail, my dedication, and the positive energy I bring to every class. While I was raised in the strict Russian Ballet tradition, I believe that harshness isn't the key—discipline, trust, and a genuine desire to grow are. My goal is to help you build not just a healthier body, but the inner confidence to shine.
