I am an interactive teacher with 8 years of experience in schools and 16 years as a tutor. I have a strong background in physics and astronomy/astrophysics, and I have taught these subjects at the university level. My academic background includes studies in science, education, and science communication. My teaching approach is friendly, open, and engaging while maintaining clarity and directness. I believe in using a variety of materials, interactive simulations, and conceptual learning to make the learning experience enriching and enjoyable. As an educator, my online teaching abilities have significantly improved over time, and I am well-adapted to the online learning environment, especially given the previous situation with Covid. To truly help students grasp concepts, it is essential to approach subjects from various angles, allowing students time to make connections. Making learning interesting in a classroom setting requires practice and skill, and I have honed these abilities over many years. Reason for pricing: I am an expensive tutor, there is no doubt that my hourly rate is high, but there is a reason for this. I am very good at what I do. I am supportive, caring and I listen, reflect and share ideas / solutions / resources with students to work with and on both in our sessions and outside of it too. I make students feel comfortable to talk to me, make mistakes and engage with the content to the best of their abilities.
