Financial accounting is a course many students struggle at first. Yet, knowing the basics and understanding accounting is extremely relevant for anyone pursuing a career in a business-related degree; or looking to start their own business. I have a bachelor's and a master's in accounting. I have 4 years of working experience, as a financial accountant and lately as a financial controller at a European tech SME firm. At my job, I deal with many interesting accounting aspects such as: Transfer pricing, VAT, audit, compliance, revenue recognition, reporting, and reconciliations. I enjoy helping others understand core financial concepts like the accounting equation, debits and credits, accrual accounting, and preparation of financial statements, among many others.
