The session will cover key topics, such as: -Resume Structure and Formatting: Discover the best practices for organising your resume to enhance readability and impact. -Tailoring Content: Learn how to customize your resume for different industries and positions, ensuring your skills and experiences resonate with potential employers. Action Verbs and Keywords: Understand the importance of language and how to incorporate effective action verbs and relevant keywords. Highlighting Achievements: Shift the focus from job duties to quantifiable achievements that showcase your value. Common Pitfalls: Identify and avoid common mistakes that can detract from your resume’s effectiveness. Participants will engage in interactive exercises, such as forming a CV from scratch, receive personalised feedback on , and walk away with a polished resume that reflects their unique strengths and career aspirations. Although I focus mainly on young people who aspire to enter the job market for the first time, or those who feel their CV needs some touch ups and formatting, I am also able to aid those looking to make a career change. I recommend that if your CV only requires formatting aid and touch ups on presentation for example, you opt for an hours session.
